Default Dual K&N's out for 07 intake?

I was just on the K&N website and didn't see where they were offering the air filters for the 2007 dual intake setup. Has anyone seen it out yet?

Is each air box the same size as the previous ones? If so you can just buy 2 of the 03-06 models. Nissan uses the same air filter size for a LOT of their cars. The K&N filter in my Z is the same exact one as I had in my '97 Sentra.

Why the pop chargers? Because they are in the engine compartment where the hot air is created, this kinda defeats the purpose of the COLD AIR INTAKE...right?? I was under the belief that we are trying to get cool fresh air to the engine to get it performance benefits.

They really did short ram the shiat out of the 07 intakes, so like you said, maybe the pop chargers won't be as great as they were for the earlier models. Just gotta wait for the dynos man, wait for the dynos.

Cold air intakes have been known to lose power. Intakes similar to JWT pc gave relatively good gains but was plagued by heat soak. it's proved time and time again that stock is better...

Look around the drag forums... For 07's however, there hasn't been much testing from my knowledge...

Yeah the 07 boxes are smaller than the single box. Does KN do a univeral thing with different sizes? You could measure your stock filter and get a matching size if so!

It only takes 5mph to clear the compartment,

i dont know if it only takes only 5mile/hr to clear the heat, but i agree it clears with speed. i have the jwp with the stillen airbox. one day i checked the temp inside the the airbox right after driving and it was relatibly cold. you really only heat soak when the car is not moving.

the other day i installed the stock air box cause i was going to the dealer. i couldn;t tell if the car was slower or faster but one thing for sure was the it took more time for the rpms to go up while accelerating. at around4.5rpms the car felt restricted.

FYI, the 07 have smaller filters and the 06 and below will not fit.

If someone is willing to take a filter to the autopart store and test fit them they could! I would, but I have a brace over my boxes that would need to be removed to even get my filter out!

Here is where you can put the measurements in! I am willing to bet they have one for one of the cars that will work.

+1. I had injen CAI on my tsx and the low end was HORRIBLE. Slower and less responsive in every way below 5k and even above that barely noticeable. when i put my stock intake back in it was like a new car, had to drive around the block a couple times cause it felt like a new car. much more responsive and more torque...

Its because its a new filter size. Many of Nissan's air boxes use the same size filter. They never made one specifically for any year 350Z, they just carried over.
