Our AWD dynojet became operational today as the 1st voyage was with my Z
Car ran a flat 12:1 AFR al the way accross
272whp with 84 degree air and no fan on the front, probably make 275 easy with it cooler and a fan on those factory CAI ducts, all stock. Not bad for a car rated at 306 at the crank
ill have to check the TQ tomorrow, we didnt run the 1st dynos with the RPM wire on, thus no TQ numbers there, the later ones were run with RPM.
I kept the car under 6000rpm for about 1500 miles, car didnt see 100+ MPH til 5000 miles, now im at 11k miles and it saw 140 for the 1st time last week.
Car isnt even 5 months old and i already have 11k miles on it, which is why i bought a 92 240sx beater to drive to and from work (86 miles round trip) but I need to put a new water pump as it wants to over heat lately.
ive raced a few 03-06s with mods and I just waste them. From the way it looks from other 07 dynos, I may have got a Wednesday motor.
Wednesday Car? Another term for factory freak? Where did this term come from?
i8acobra- I was wondering the same thing about the SAE corrected ratings. I am thinking that the WHP numbers are independent of the crank ratings. So a dyno b/w an 03-06 and an 07 would show the same WHP differences whether or not you use SAE or Corrected numbers for the crank rating.
those new engines are kicking arse. Nice #'s Now i'm curious to see if the new engine respondes better to bolt ons, or if they truly maxxed it's potential out and there is little to no HP breathing room.
