i have 08 and had 1700 miles. i noticed a fuuny sound at 1st from 2k to 4k rpm i think it comes from the exhust .
the sound came out after some raceing with a golf r32 last week .
any idea

Have you considered taking it to the dealer???? I mean, it is a new car and it does have a warranty. What is your next thread? "Need help ASAP: My house is on fire. Should I call the fire department or try to put it out myself?"

My car has been doing the same thing for some time. After a long drive to Palm Springs(long roads) it started making that sound and its pretty load throughout first gear and only first gear. I took it in and they just gave me the old "all these motors make load noises". What ever, as long as it doesnt slow me down.

DUDE FIRES ARE NOT FUNNY FYI===== SOCAL IS ON FIRE AND MANY PEOPLE IN EVACUATION MODE. ASHES EVERYWHERE AND STILL 30 TO 50 MPH WINDS.
