Ok man why is this button stuck on my flame suite...oil question.
Lol hey guys I am about to do the first oil change in the coming weeks. I am thinking of changing on 600 and 1200 again and than keep changing every 5k synthetic.
This is my first Nissan, what oil you recommend I use with the Z. I never got my freaking instruction manual with the car wtf. I think I will do the 600 flush and than use non synthetic again till 1200 and at 1200 I go synthetic with something you fellas recommend. By the way the Z will be in Florida weather Tampa bay area the whole time if that makes a difference.
And I had a few while washing the car today not sure if I make sense bear with me
Now is that the reason why the GTR is so freakin fast. nice to see people with humor. And thanks guys I wasnt sure what grade to use on the Z, but that clears it up some. This car is stock lol S2k antenna oooohhh the modding has begun lol.
I would say dont switch over to synthetic until about 10k or so. It will allow your engine to fully break in faster where as if you switched to synthetic so early, your engine might not be fully broken in until 20k miles. Broken in = more power... Castrol, Amsoil, and Mobil 1 one have been the more popular synthetics.
She is not stock she got 224 miles on her and a s2k antenna on the way
Sooooo it's stock with 224 miles on it.
Well, until the antenna arrives and it becomes a born again custom '08 Z. After that you should change your sig to say "first custom modded '08 Z on the forums." W00T.

Most engine builders will either tell you that the engine is broken in once the oil heats up to operating temp or after they break it in on the dyno. It doesn't take 20k to fully break it in. Hell, it doesn't take 1200 miles.
I swear by Redline. Royal Purple is garbage. Mobil changed up.
I want to try Amsoil next and then the German Castrol.

Well IMHO for the car to fully break in it takes about 5k to 6k. So i wouldnt use suthentic till then. I have 4500 miles on my 07 and have change my oil 3 times with Carstol GTX. I usually change it evary 1500-2000 miles. BTW Castrol GTX is a great concentianl oil and outperforms many synthtics in the oil anylysis.
