in crampd quarters like that, do heatshields really accomplish anything or is it just for peace of mind.

unfortunately, there is no price for it yet being the fact that they are protypes. not sure about the hp gains though, idont think its to the wheels. they are also looking for a test bed if you are in the pomona, CA area to do more r&d for the HR.

Well, as long as it blocks out the hot air around it and only lets in the fresh air from the front, id say its pretty functional. It doenst look very flashy though.

they looked somewhat funtional, unfortunately there is a small opening behind the heat shield to make room for the filter portion, i should've took pics of it. no pics though here are more pics. they are the best i could find...

Don't really see how those"heat shields" would keep hot air from gathering in there with it having that big opening in front of the box...Of coarse, I don't believe in the whole heat soak theory anyways...

its occurs i think but once you get moving for a bit and the air starts flowing i think it goes away quicker then most people think.

looks ok, but does the heat shield block heat from the engine side too, or just from the top?

bs dyno, just like the rest of injen crap. small k&n's and a plastic shield for $400+ i don't think so.

i have yet to see an independent dyno on any of the HR intake systems.

Forged pulled the filters and gained a big 0 that is all i know.

edit : this is a 3.7 vvel, so maybe injen did gain some... i wana see a 3.5 HR
