I built an oil cooler setup for my prior track car and it ended up running about $475-500 once all said and done. The kit included a Mocal sandwich plate adapter, setrab cooler, braided lines w/ associated AN fittings, and all the brackets, fittings, etc... to get everything routed and mounted up.
If/when I build another kit, I plan to use another mocal sandwich adapter and setrab cooler. The only thing I may change for the next time would be the lines and fittings.
GReddy/GREX Oil Cooler Kits help prolong the life of your oil and in turn your internal engine components. Hard driving causes higher engine temperatures. GReddy/GREX oil coolers are an excellent addition, and are especially effective in harsh driving environments. By using a similar inner-fin core design as our famous intercoolers, we are able to increase oil capacity, decrease oil temperatures, and extend engine and oil life. Our systems also offer an internal (or external) thermostat (opening range 71-85 C) to allow for quick engine warm up. The efficient core and durable steel-braided lines ensure good flow and a leak free installation.
I used an oil cooler off of an FC rx7 (its about 2x as big as the average cooler on the market, and also has a built in thermostat). I did my entire setup using nylon wrapped braided lines for less than $300.

bringin this one back:
Justin!! - what model setrab did you use??? Im buildin my own and have everything right now but the cooler (only about $215 right now with fittings,, lines,, and mocal sanwich plate)... Im thinkin about the 113 series (4"x8 1/4"x2") but without knowing the dimensions of the stillen- used or the greddy- used coolers,, IDK if this one is too small....
Well, it's been a while, but I want to say it was the setrab 150 cooler. It was probably larger than needed, but I had a smaller cooler to start and the temps would still get too high on extended track sessions.
Don't forget, it was also a different application so you should keep that in mind as well.
I have the Stillen and it is deff quality. The lines are very nicely done and a seatrab cooler. very complete and the oil sandwich plate is nice too. you can build your own but for not much cheaper.

i know that this might be going out on a limb b/c its installed but would it be possible for you to get me a rough size estimate??? I just need to know width and height and i can figure it out from there...
stillens kit uses a setrab cooler....must be the $hit! 400shipped from sharif.....
Setrab are my favorite. Great quality and many different sizes to chose from.
I honestly expected the Stillen kit to be quite a bit more expensive, but to my suprise the $450 +/- price was about right. Though gathering parts yourself you could build a kit for half that, given without any brand names tagged on.
