HR - Aftermarket Clutch & Flywheel
I was wondering how many (HR) owners have already changed out their clutch and flywheel and to what? As I am looking to change mine out too. Also, if anyone could give their thoughts about changing it out, whether or not they liked it, the feel, etc.

Unfortunately I had to change my clutch at only 20k miles but I'm very happy with the feel of the JWT clutch I had installed, it's a bit stiffer and easier to drive the car.. for some reason I can now drive with sandals when I couldn't before.
Only thing I don't like is the chatter from the JWT Flywheel, if I had to do it all again I would have gone with the Nismo Flywheel as people say it's quieter than stock.. I dunno how that true that is.
I've heard the JWT Flywheel gets quieter after a while but.. I've already put 10k miles on it and it isn't one bit quieter than before!
Pros on the flywheel is that you could definiately tell it's lighter when you're rev matching.

I have the jwt clutch and flywheel on my TT HR and love it . I put the clutch and flywheel in when the car was still N/A and noticed the sound everyone talks about. At idle and low rpm it sounds like a cement mixer. When I did the TT the idle was bumped up a little so it is quiet at idle now, If anyone has this set up just raise the idle up about 100 rpm or so off idle and you will hear the difference. As for the sound at low rpm, it is not a big deal at all. People keep saying chatter but it is only a sound, chatter makes me think of a puck style clutch engaging and shaking the car. This clutch is smooth but does make a little noise.

I didn't do an emedate before and after dyno but with this lighter flywheel you'll probably free 5-10 hp at the wheels but I don't think the noise is worth it.. in my opinion. You can't really feel that amount of hp bump when your car weighs in at 3,300 lbs and already comes with over 250 whp. Does rev match better but... if you know your car it really doesn't make a difference around town.. unless your into tracking the car.
I'd prefer quieter ride than stock.. so Nismo would be the way to go if what I've heard is true.
If you want real hp than save up for force induction.

I also have JWT on my 08 Z and it works great, I had it install at around 8k miles because factory one was giving out. due to lots of drag racing, i now have 15k and JWT is as good as new. love it

I have the JWT flywheel with stock clutch. Its definitely got some noise to it especially below 2000 rpm, but if you start at 2000 rpm and feather just a tad you wont hear a thing. I definitely like it though, especially with the 3.9 gears

ahh i c, i went on the clutch masters web site and they offer staged clutch systems for the HR.. so are you referring to the flywheel as only being made by JWT? on the exedy website they offer a flywheel and staged clutch as well.
