This is a little clip that I took when the shop owner was dropping my car off to me after getting the new hood installed some time ago:

I wanted to show this pic. of my '77 280Z (taken in '78). That was a great little car! A friend and me drove from SLC west on I-80 to Lake Tahoe for a couple of days, then over Golden Gate Bridge, on down Pacific Coast Highway to So. Cal.; visited some old friends in my old town, hit the beaches, then I-15 through Vegas and North home. Fun cruise; did it on my Kawasaki 1000 too. *No, that oil on the road isn't mine haha!

Wait, what? And you didn't see me or wave at me in my shiny light blue '76 which I had when you were passing through my hometown of San Francisco - and passing near my house a mile from 19th Avenue which you had to take to get to PCH!! Hmmmmph!!

Heh heh. But yeah, that pic looks like mine did....when I first got it. Didn't stay that way long.... from black stock wheels (well, yeaaaaah, I took off the hubcaps) to a set of American Racing Libre 14x5.5s to 15"x7 Compomotive modulars and finally onto real BBS. (Jeez, I was a wheel ho from waaaaay back apparently. Laff...)

And that was just that Z... the others were always in varied states of radical.

Memories.....

That's cool that you had a '76! They were a blast to drive weren't they? Those yrs. Datsun models didn't have all the crap on them (interior) that the later 280's had; nice and basic dash/gauges and good looking interior.

This pic has the stock wheels/tires (fall; see no leaves in them there hills), but I had a beautiful set of Crager deep dish (real chrome) wide wheels/low profile tires all around (I don't remember the specs). When I'd wash the car in front of our house in Summer I'd have to put sun glasses on when I got down to polishing up those wheels; blueish tint of real chrome because of the bright reflection like mirrors. I never saw another Z that had that unique setup. With the wide Summer setup the car felt like a bobsled in the canyons; some great local ski resort canyons not far away. As you know, that straight 6 engine was very cool and so easy to tinker around on; so much room haha!

Sorry, but I would have waved if I saw another blue Z!

Thanks! The Stillen kit with the 2.87 blower pulley has been just fine, no issues at all. I really like the V3 sc kit. I've talked to Vortech and I get ideas rolling through my head now and then like sending the blower assembly in to them; they can change it out from sti to si trim. It's fine as is, but the si would add "umph", but it's my only car and they said it's approx. 3-4 week turnaround. As is it can go 40-120 (for example) a lot quicker/more punch than the stock HR.

I bought my car exactly 10 yrs. ago today. I just was curious about them and wanted to check out leg/head room. The salesman said here, take it for a spin, I said no, I already know it will be nice!

It was the last day of the month, plus the dealer had a big sale going on. I wasn't planning on it, but drove home with the new '07 a couple hrs. later. The dealer told me that they sold 5 350s that day. I had no idea that '07 was the start of the HR, but I'm glad I got one and it has been a sweet little car all along; always have been impressed with how well the Z33 is constructed, handling/power, great on open road! * plus we all know that chicks dig 'em!

Funny, my wife doesn't like to ride in mine. She used to drive it sometimes (as the back up to her Toy) but then we got the Volvo (which she hated to drive cuz you can't make u-turns in it...ugh). But now, "HER backup" is the Benz... when I need to service her Highlander or use it to schlep a new set of wheels.

CONGRATS ON THE MILESTONE, BLUE!!!

Awesome that one can own a car for 10 years and still love it, eh?

The intoxicating and captivating allure of the Z33....

Thanks kno! Yeah, I must admit that even after the past 10 yrs. I still sneak peaks at it like when going into a store, etc. I park it usually out and away and still like checking it out while walking towards it too.

Sucks, Blue!! But at least insurance covers it, no one hurt, and damage relatively minor (so it seems from pic). New bumper and paint, it'll look like gnu!

Wish I coulda said the same for my Shiro..... Uggggh, still pi$$ed....

Your car was too low that's why the bish didn't see you ^__^ Glad everything was okay... no major damage. The same **** almost happened to me once but I caught it in time to prevent it from happening. At a stop light a car was approaching slowly behind me not stopping and as I watching them in my rear view mirror getting closer and closer... I had to honk my horn and held it so those dumb asses won't rear end me, the struggle is real.

People are just fckn idiots when it comes to driving. I swear, my car is attracted to those idiots because people tend to cross over in my lane and swerve towards me all the time. I have avoided so many accident it's not even funny. If I was into insurance scam or like to deal with **** like this, my car would've gotten a complete make over like Joan River's face.

Rant over.

The shop did an excellent job replacing the rear bumper cover and paint match, I am very impressed, they even detailed the car and it looks nice. Was good having a car rental place next door to the shop; I had a new red Ford focus, was actually a cool little car.

I took the focus around a few sharp corners that I go around often and the car, even though a small new car felt "top heavy" compared to what I'm used to. It cruised well (auto), but put a big smile on my face with a giggle as I took those corners during the 2 days.

*I just may sell my Z and buy a Focus!

I didn't know what category for this question so just using my thread.

I got an email from Photobucket today saying I can no longer used my pics on that site for any 3rd party sharing. They offer 3 plans; the 3rd plan is the only one that allows 3rd party sharing and it is an insane $399 per yr! No way. My site is only 80% full (free) and I've had a PB account for about 10 yrs, but it's been acting weird for about 2 yrs.

It would sure be nice to be able to post pics/vids here directly from our laptops/devices. *Any suggestions as to some photo sites that you guys may be using that are good sites and allow posting pics on this site?

I tried a test pic post from photobucket a few minutes ago and when I pasted it as usual it showed a big box saying denied! Curious to see what is recommended for use on this site. Thanks
