Stillen Gen 3 Ultra long tube dual Intake
Hi,
Anyone has this intake ?
I just bought one for my HR, and it seems there is a big power gain.
I thought it would be great with my PPE Headers, good intake with good exhaust should be making power...
It is said by Stillen that it adds 20 RWHP alone which seems enormous .... That is as much/better as the PPE Headers
And if someone has this, with an oil cooler, does it work or did you have to relocate the oil cooler ?
I have a 19 Rows Stillen Oil cooler...
Thanks

You will not see 20 WHP gains, more like 1- WHP up top but your mid range will increase, You'll see like 12-15 in the mid range and with a retune of course for the intakes. I would look at Takedas tho, 100 less and makes the same power. I had both on my G37 and made the same WHP. I didn't have to move anything for either on as they sit behind the upper grill.

Here is the dynochart from Stillen.
http://www.stillen.com/prodfiles/402845~dyno.pdf
I already have Stillen High flow dual intake on my Z and a tune with my other mods.
But since i change quite everything i'll have to do another tune.
PPE Headers
Motordyne XYZ
Agency Power
Stillen ultra long dual intake...
compared to now :
Stock HR Headers
Kinetix HFC
Injen SES 1987TT True Dual
Stillen dual high flow intake
With that the car made around 340 Hp at the crank on a Superflow Dyno in Paris (4 wheel dyno, premium quality, rated at 1500 HP)
I hope to reach 360 Hp at the crank at least with these new parts.
Regarding the dual 3" intake yes it should be great, but doesn't work directly without a remap.... And for what i see, without heat shield this configuration will loose power on the track with the bonnet closed. It wil suck too much hot air from the engine compartment. And since i track my car a lot on various tracks in France (Le Mans etc etc) it doesn't seem ideal.

You should post up in the track section. Much more track junky members to help. I know many had proven a 3.5" maf with 3.5" intake and larger throttle body makes power. Not sure on the hr though. Only problem I see with the stillen gen3 is that its located above the crash bar and closer to a low pressure/potential vacuum area of the front bumper.

Hello guys,
In fact i installed this intake instead of my "old" Stillen short High Flow intake.
I lost power....less mid range, no better top end, some response time sometime....
I was so deceived that i switched back to my old gen Stillen...
Perhaps i should have drove it more, but my ECU works well with the old stillen directly, no reasons that it should take longuer with long tubes...
I will give it another try when i i will installer my PPE headers...

I made close to the same gains as Stillen had posted for their Gen 3 intakes, now that's the only product that I think I'll ever buy from them (unless someone else produces a S/C kit for the HR). With just Stillen Gen 3's, ART pipes, Tomei Expreme Ti, and Osiris UpRev tune I made 294whp 256tq. I plan on upgrading to the PPE Long Tube Headers one day, probably put me over 300whp.
