I think it will be in the 330's simply because that last Z only increased by about 20hp over its life span. So if they start at 350hp......BTW isnt the 380RS using a 350hp motor ever since? I think the 370z will top out at 350hp at the end of its lifecycle simply based on the course Nissan took with the 350z. I know they recertified the hp rating so its possible its more than 20hp gain but Im not sure.

The '07/08 Z's are damn near breaking 12's with 30 less chp than what the 370Z is supposedly going to be cranking out (if going by G37 numbers). Now also add in the reported 200lb weight savings. We'll have a mid-high 12 second car on our hands that will be trapping ~110 and hopefully be blazing fast around a track.
That's better than 80% of the cars on the road.

Yeah. Its not so much the HP. Imo It's the weight, balance and TQ that will define this car.
My pick will be 336 Hp.. Nissan always seems to takes baby steps when it comes to upgrades.

I saw somewhere in either Car and Driver or Motortrend that they are expecting a 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. They wanted the car to beat all the hype of the Solstice GXP and other contenders. I hope it has atleast enough power to keep up with the new model muscle cars with their V8's.

Although I don't really care about 0-60 times, but the Z definitely needs to "update" its specifications to outperform a bunch of cheaper FWD cars today with force fed 4 bangers. Plus, I'm happy as long as it is faster and better handling than my '03 Z while keeping the ZNA alive.
Back in the 300ZX times, a 14sec 1/4mi. 300HP car was amazing. Now we have cheap FWD cars outperforming it as well as sedans being able to pass it. I honestly don't know why a 260+ Accord or Camry is necessary.

Before you bring it up, tranny's like the one in the Ferrari's and in the GTR aren't autos. They're robotic manuals.

ok... I'm quite surprised they are testing in germany and we still don't have a nurburgring estimate.
the first 350z was running in 8.26" that was damn good at that time and everybody knows how she was "dead" over 110mph...
to be at least par with the cayman S (that is going to have the revised i.d. engine for next year with a 20+ hp bump) MUST go around that track around 8 min solid. (8.11 for the cayman S with 295hp).... a carrera S (997 with 385hp) do it in 7.50.
would be a "killer" being in the 7.55 range.
