So my car is now running on a ViPec standalone EMS. No tuning has been done yet but it runs and the Vipec controls the drive by wire. i am excited as the ViPec has lots of good features not offered by some of the other standalones. My car is at Lightspeed Innovations in RedDeer right now I am not sure when Cam is tuning it though I am getting a ton of other things done as well so I told him I was in no hurry we wanted to install the ViPec and get it running prior to doing all the other mods in case there was a problem it would be easier to pin point.

Cam is going to tune it just for his own reference so he has a base map for future use. But once the base map is done the car is going under a huge transformation. I don't want to give too much away till its done.


I am not that on top of Standalone ECUs so I mostly go by what Cam tells me and I have been a client of his for years now so I trust what he tells me.
It can run the drive by wire throttle with out using the factory ECU as a piggy back was one reason so we think we can get fancy with how we set up the traction control, it also has flat shift, It no longer uses the MAF and a few other nice features that others don't have. I guess Cam pretty much talked me into it he feels it is a superior set up to others availible as being the test mule we weren't sure it would even run the drive by wire (Cam was sure I wasn't) but my car will be used for R&D and a plug and play harness MAY be availible in the future.
