Default Worked on the car a little bit last night...

Well my car has been sitting at a friends shop for the winter.

Late last year I got pissed off at how tight/restricted access to the Greddy Wastegates were with their shitty design. So I decided to redesign the wastegate system. After the redesign was done and everything was test fitted I had everything ceramic coated at Impact coatings here in Edmonton (Thanks Bruce and others for the great service) and get everything re-installed.

Well the re-install worked perfect, no alignment issues like the stock greddy setup. Access to all bolts is now possible and quite easy in comparison to the old system.

I even had enough time to run Braided line to the blow off valve.

And then I did it. The biggest Mod of my life. A project for the record books.

A NEW OIL CAP!

Mmmmmmm braided lines, that's another thing I will have to play with down the road. Is that a GM IAT sensor (open element) in you intake pipe? No MAF.

Any pictures of the car?

No MAF is correct.

It is SOOOO much nicer than the MAF. I highly suggest the conversion.

No new pics of the car right now. Sorry, I just had my Iphone to snap those pics last night.

Hmmmm, I will have to research this. Pulled an additional multy wire cable from the engine bay to the cabin just in case. And now I can use it.. I know that I can just splice the OEM MAF and hook it up to the Haltech but I'd rather just run it's own wiring.

So you don't have any CEL's with the MAF removed?

I have CEL because I don't run cats or stock Downstream O2 Sensors.

I strictly run 2 Widebands.

I will have to put the scan tool on it and see if I have any CEL codes related to Maf. But I don't think I do.

Oh yeah, and once I put in my Racepaq I will have no CEL because I will not have the stock dash cluster any more either.

I cant wait to see the racepaq in action. I know I have dash lights on like crazy. The OEM ECU no longer senses the throttle so my slip light, VDC and CEL are all on so I will either have to pull light bulbs or maybe a reflash or the racepaq

Wow that thing is tight!!! would love to see it sometime... gonna have to meet up wit you guys some time soon... I'm just waiting for my car to get out of the body shop as it was backed up into over the winter by a truck. Took out my front fender door and part of bumper all cosmetic damage. Supposed to be finaly done at the end of next week. Won't be anywhere near as crazy as you guys but that's ok. I have bassani exhaust on it and my black injen intakes waiting to be put on along with my Volks...
