Stock fronts are 225/45/18. When you go wider the diameter will increase as well. If you check the calculator again, there is a % at the bottom of 2.73% increase or 3.99" to 4.34" in sidewall height. Might not affect VDC but from what I remember it will cause issues.

I follow now. Any idea what type of issues ? Something that can be alleviated with camber adjustment?

The factory tire size is made to tuck into the wheel well under full compression and it does with little extra clearance, the extra 1/2 inch will probably make you hit no matter what , unless you reduce suspension travel ( bigger bump stops)

Looking at ce28 18x9.5 +28 for my 07 nismo, I want to keep my stock 245 40 18 tire cuz they are brand new and run 275 40 18 rear Will I encounter issues with vdc until I purchase the more suited 255 40 after the 245 runs low?

I would really look into different spec wheels. You tire plan is solid, but you really need something wider for the rear. Stock has a 10 inch wide wheel, you want same or wider.

Thank you I agree. It's just that these are cheap 1300 for the set in mint condition. I could buy then sell a pair down the road.

I wouldn't even mount them, I think they will fit an EVO perfectly, just flip them for $2k

Moving my Square Wheels post here.

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...l#post10506013

Just bought the 18x9.5 +12 G6's (cause they were on sale, and free shipping to hawaii)

I know I've gotten alot of responses in the past for tire choices, but just making sure.

255/40/18 front
275/40/18 rear

Or can I run something better? Trying to grab the Hankook V12's, but may need to see what's available locally.

I have a 2006 Touring with stock 18" wheels, stock tire size and 20mm spacers front and 30mm rear which fills the wheel wells nicely.

If I go with a 18x8 front +40 with 245/40/18 and a 18x9 rear +40 with a 265/40/18 will I still need the spacers for the same look?

I'm a little fuzzy on the offset...

those offsets are worse than factory, you want a lower number....why dont you change the sizes to 18x9.5 +15(or 9.0) front and 18x10+15 rear with like a 275/40 rear tire, and a 255/40 front

i dont see the point in just pushing a narrow tire out, i would rather push it out and fill the wheel well

So a positive offset is moving the wheel toward the other, not away?

the offset is essentially the amount of MM front centerline of the wheel the hub is. so a +15 offset is 15mm away (pushed towards the fender) from the center line and will give you a concave look, the +40 you were looking at, the face will be pretty flat

the higher the number the more sunk in to the middle of the car, the lower it is it will be pushed out from the center of the car. make sense?

So the measurement is from the centerline of the wheel to the face of the hub (or spacer). Then the conclusion is that the depth of the wheel at the center can also be a factor in how deep the dish looks.

Setting that point aside here is my math:

The stock rear wheel is a 8.5 inch, +33. The proposed wheel is a 9" +40. That works out to moving the bead in from the existing position by only .65mm.

+1/2" of wheel width = 12.7mm /2 = 6.35 mm on each side of the hub

6.35 mm - 7 mm = (-).65 mm

Make sense?

Ok poindexter; if you want to keep running spacers.. sure.

But if you want proper sizing/offsets, it should be something like 18x9.5 +15 front & 18x10.5 +15 rear, as many people run Enkei RPF1's.
