Default 2003-2009 Nissan 350Z General Exclaim UHP Summer Tire Review article

Hey guys,

Anyone tried out the General Exclaim UHP's? How accurate was our review? Did the value live up to the price? What was good about it, and what was bad? Would you get it again? Do you have another recommendation instead of the General Exclaim UHP's?

If you missed the quick read, you can find it here: http://my350z.com/review/2003-2009-n...p-and-wear.php

Hey guys! There's a link for it in the article, but here it is again in case you're interested we've got some quick links to tire info throughout the site!: http://my350z.com/forum/tags/tire.html

Thanks!

While I've never used those particular tires, that piece reads more like something that's been cut and pasted from sales literature than an actual product review.

i have them on my car i think their are great some road noise but not bad they do have soft side walls so if your going to be road racing or time attacks these are not the tires you want but if you want some thing sticky and has great traction then id say get these i used to have some MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2 and they sucked for traction seem to spin to easy under hard acceleration but the UHP don't spin much they sure grab hard but i will let you guys decide if you like them or not

i have 225/40/18 front
265/35/18 back
here is a pics of them when their were first dropped off at my door don't have any installed pics yet i should go and take some

No complaints, they work in 110deg Texas heat, and as of the monsoon like rain this morning, stick fairly well in the wet.

Are they THE BEST end all tire for the track, drifting, or AutoX? No. But for the price point they're ok.

Not bad, not great I'd say. Worked great as a wet tire in Europe and does so here as well. But its choppy design doesn't make them great in dry conditions or for steering response. Good bang for the buck if on a budget.

Had them before, not a bad tire. Sidewalls are softe, but for the price.... a great tire. good traction in wet and dry. need stiffer sidewall for cornering.

Ran a set of them on my Cobalt after two sets of KDW's, worst mistake I ever made. Yes they are cheap, and you get what you pay for. They are an ok tire if you can't afford a real quality tire and need something in a low-pro tire, then get these. Otherwise, stay away from them if you are an agressive driver and like good tires.

My KDWs were great, awesome in the rain, handled well, stopped great. Noise was worse than the Generals, but thats not a big deal to me, the RE050A's are pretty noisy on some surfaces anyway. The Generals sucked all the way around, didn't grip as well, were softer with less feedback, less traction under braking, and worthless in the rain. Didn't even last as long as the BFG's on my car.

I've run them before... Great tire for the price... soft sidewalls, as mentioned, but a decent tire...

I'll add a little more to my they just suck, they are extremely loud, they are not a soft sticky tire, for a cheap tire that you just need to get around, they're great, for anything else, they suck. They're okay in the rain. Overall, I won't ever go back, was a terrible tire choice.

Great tire for the price! Good grip and wet weather performance. I no longer have to fear driving in the rain as with the stock tires. I took them down to ZdayZ last year and they provided great grip on the dragon. Would definately buy again.

I had a set in 19" sizes, and they were among the worst of the 20 or so high-performance tires I've tried. Noisy and mediocre grip in wet/dry. Rolled over in cornering too. I didn't own them long enough to comment on treadlife, since I got rid of them very quickly.

These tires are terrible. 1 of them literally blow up when I was driving to the airport....

I only purchased them because they were light and cheap.
