Default Colored / flashy lug nuts that are safe?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this.

I don't have my 350Z anymore, I'm driving a C6 Corvette now. But I'm still into a lot of the tuner style stuff. Something I've been looking into lately are the colored lug nuts, the nice looking ones you see on a lot of the souped up tuner cars. I want to get a set of orange ones that would go nicely with my car.

The thing is, I'm seeing a lot of threads on the internet which say that since they're made of aluminum they're really not safe. My car has over 500 horsepower at the wheels. Does anyone know of any nice colored lugs you can get that are strong enough to keep me alive?

I'd ask on the 'Vette forum but most people over there don't know about this stuff. I figured a lot of my friends back here on the Z forum would have more experience with this, maybe some of you with high-output Zs are running some lugs I'd be interested in?

Thanks!

I swear by Gorilla lugs but not sure if they have any orange lugs. I do know they have black, blue, and red.

Why would you ruin a c6 with tuner styling?

Haha, okay but only if you prove you drive a 350Z! Not sure why you're surprised, not like I'm claiming to own a Lambo. Here it is.

I have a dyno sheet lying around somewhere but don't care enough to find it. It shouldn't be all too hard to believe. 500 is an easily attainable number in a Vette. I did heads, cam, headers and voila. Don't need you to believe me or not, just want help with some lug nuts

I dunno, there are a lot of ricer things I'd never do to any car, but tuner wheel styling has always been attractive to me. And there's something about the Jap style lug nuts that I like. Plus I had Rays wheels on my Z and I wanna bring some of that coolness over to the 'Vette, even with just some nuts.

That is better. With the menace look on that Vette, I have no doubt it wouldn't make the 500.

Ok, here are some nice tuning lug nuts to be consider. They are all made and constructed from forged titanium.

1. TWM performance, high ends lug nuts and probably one of the most expensive titanium lug nuts out there at the price of $599 a set. I can't afford to run these.

2.Evasive Motorsport, mid range and best value titanium lug nuts at $285 a set of 20. I was going to buy these, but I found a better set.

3. 2J Racing. Probably, the most affortable titanium lug nuts out there at the price of $175 a set of 20. I actually owned one set of these myself and run them on my car.

I have these on my 350z. They are very light and I have taken my wheels on/off many times.

Those are the exact ones i have actually

For name brand "quality" lugs your gona be spending around 150-250 FYI.

I personally dont like the lightweight lug nuts. The softer metal on them always seems to get galled up after taking the wheels on and off several times. Steel lugnuts seem to just last much longer.

You drive a Z06 and are going to complain about the expense of the only thing holding your wheels onto the car? Even if you bought the most expensive set at 600$ish it still seems like a small investment compared to the overall gains.

It's not like you are looking to put a 20k turbo kit on a used 9k 350z here.

If you're looking for a nice finish, don't expect to go cheap and be happy with the outcome. The finish on cheap lug nuts will start to chip off after one install/removal. Happened to my $50 set of Mutekis. Never again. I have a set of Project Kics R40s and a set of Project Kics Leggduras and the finish on both have held up excellent. R40's are slightly over $200 I believe and the Leggdura's are around $180. I'll never bother with cheap lug nuts again. When it's time for a new set I'm going for the Volk Formula lug nuts in red
