I'm actually a student in college,

I work two jobs,
At a car wash
And I Dj weddings on the weekend, which pays surprisingly well. I've been saving for the rocket bunny for a long time.

Also I will be selling my current set up to afford the new ones. I am getting a sponsorship from the company that designed these for me so it's only going to cost be about $1000 out of pocket.

I know people who will paint the kit cheap for me as well.

Lotta good advice in here. Lotta good helpful stuff. I was going to estimate a wheel width of about 11-12f and 14r. Offsets (-)30 and -42. But, that's estimating a camber of -12ish. If you want it close to stock (or straight), I'd say shave 25 off that offset number. But, yeah, wait till you get the kit.

i took my current specs and used http://www.willtheyfit.com/

and just kept crunching numbers until the rears would stick out +65mm more in the back

and +40mm in the front...

the specs i came up with were..

18x11 -6

18x12 -36

here is a pic with a brz rocket bunny flare and a 18x12 -20 wheel

When I hear the words cheap and paint in the same sentence.... pretty bad for a car with so much hype. Paint/body is one thing you don't want to go cheap on.

Default Offset for Custom 3-Piece Enkei Wheels?

Hey Guys!

So I'm getting some custom Rs05RR wheels made for me...

I have the height and widths picked out... but i cant figure out an offset..

some details on my current set up

Fronts:

18x10 +22 255/35/18

Rears:

18x11 +16 285/35/18

The new height/widths i plan on running

Fronts:

19x9.5 265/35/19

19x11 295/30/19

Can anyone with specs like these fill me in on the offset they're running? I'm trying to get the most aggressive offset up front without having to run FUCAS, rear fenders are rolled and camber arms are installed...

Here are some pictures of my current set up/ ride height, i plan on dropping the fronts just a tad more (lowered on kw v1 coils)

in this pic you can see the front part of my side skirt where it meets the wheel well, im trying to push it out to where you can see that

Here are some of the pics of the custom rs05rr art in motion made for me!
going to be 19's with a custom lip...

What finish do you think i should do these in? A full rose gold/ copper plating? with silver hardware and silver centers?

or..

gloss black lip with matte black spokes, gloss black hardware and a red velvet center?

not too many colors look that great on red:/

After speaking with Miura the rocket bunny 350z won't be finished until close to march most likely.

I can't wait that long to get new wheels so i'm buying this in the mean time. haha.

Rod, don't be throwing logic... Or get the wheel to fit RB now and placate your desire to buy new wheels.

I'm running 18x10 -48F and 18x11.5R -68. 3" flares front and 4" flares rear. -1.6 camber front. -3.3 rear. I sit pretty damn flush.

Hope that gives you a better idea.

A lot of cutting too. Hah

I mean it's more or less the same thing, HOWEVER, it is available for purchase right now.

and you could potentially run the same wheels that the Liberty Walk GT-R had at SEMA. IIRC those were SSR TF1 in SBC

Well yes and no.. it's available but still took three to 4 months to receive it.
And fitment for this kit is far different than a gtr.. i wish I'd have waited to buy my wheels and tires until the kit was on... im having to repurchase things I wouldn't have if I had just waited.

I'm not saying he should run the same size LOL just the same wheels. They look incredible. Also 3 to 4 months to receive the Star Dast kit is less than it would take for the RB kit to be finished and then shipped out.

I think it's whole combined package of the rb kit that makes this kit appealing. Subtle differences (if it were to look like the rendering) the front fender would meet the hood line and door line, the fender dipping in towards the wheel well on the front fenders, and the obvious differences such as front bumper and side skirts.. Don't know what the rear will look like but I'm hoping for a duck tail like the frs v2 and the rc-f kit.

But why chop up perfectly good wheels (rs05) when you can get wheels like the ssr tf01 custom built?
