Forged wheel blanks help
I've had a couple people ask me to design them wheels (I'm an industrial design major and my passion is designing wheels)
My question for you guys is, does anyone know if you can get forged blanks monoblock and forged blank centers for 3 piece and if you can, where?
I've tried searching and didn't find anything so sorry if this has been asked before.
Any help would be awesome
Thanks, Ryan

There's only a few wheel manufacturers who forge their wheels, so you might want to research and contact them. Will they sell you forged wheel blanks/centers? Most likely not, but if you have cash to burn, give it a shot.

Blanks are commodities among forged wheel companies. There are group buys and wholesale of 100 pieces or more. You have to be invited or notified of the sales. To get just one set would require an insider who is willing to sell to you. Easier to contract a company, but it will still be costly. Forged blanks also need to be "turned" or prepped for cnc work. I've purchased 20 before then got my wheels made in trade.

Your design is limited to what's physically and structurally sound. Once a design is plugged in, red flags will pop showing where the weak points are. This is where the shop will charge you to alter the final design. Then you have to find a separate shop to finish- polish, brush, powder coat the faces, find inner/outter barrels and polish those. Three piece hardware cost on top of it all.
