Default Rear wheel bearing worn? 2008 350z

so my mechanic show me one of the rear wheels were looser then the other wheels. he said its a wheel bearing was worn out. he said it would take about 4 hours of work to dissemble the wheel n everything n replace the part. which will cost me roughly 400 + dollars.

this is my first time owning a car and first time taking it to a mechanic. will it actually cost that much to replace it. any insights on this would be appreciated. thanks homies

4 hours is book time, actually takes less than 2. A lot of the time the worn bearing takes out the hub, that will cost extra

What hasn't been mentioned is having a seized wheel bearing at speed can result in a big shunt. Whether you pay someone to do it, or take on the task yourself, don't ignore it.
