Default Wheel Fitment

Ay guys I went down to Americas Tire today to put on my new wheels and tires
Wheels: Enza Vatore 18(9.5+12)x(10.5+15) Tires: Sumitomo HTR ZIII(245/40/18)x(275/40/18) and the guy said that the 350z cant have tires more than 3/4" TALLER than eachother. I guess my rears are an inch taller and will apparently **** with the ABS. But I have seen Zs on rimtuck.com with 19s in the rear and 18s in the front! He recommended me getting 255. Do you guys no anyway I can throw these on with out running into this problem he mentioned. He said my car would "shut down".

^^ Your tire guy is wrong about the height stagger (but 255/40-18" will work).

245/40-18 front and 275/40-18 rear is ideal for the 350z.

Not at all…. In fact it isn’t the actual diameter (within reason of course) but the difference in height. A one inch difference front to back is excellent.

245/40-18” Diameter: 25.72
275/40-18” Diameter: 26.66

The difference is about an inch... pefect

On the factory 18s, the rear diameter is .6 inches greater than the front. You can increase the variance up until around 1.4 inches greater diameter in the rear without upsetting the computer, but I personally try keeping it as close to the factory variance as possible.
