Default tire size help

so the 245/45/18s on the rear are starting to loose a bit of traction as I progress in the mods wondering what will be best for my set up and what will fit before I buy it. Intended use daily driving with spirited driving on the weekend wanna keep the traction in straight and curves in case I want to hit the drag strip or the auto cross.

on track v 1 wheels 18x8f and 18x8.5r I want to move the 245/45/18 up front and put either a set of 255/45/18 or 265/45/18 on the rear I have a base so no electronic issues to deal with, and with nismo springs for my suspension height. Or maybe I should go with a different size all together? Open to knowledge of those who have been here before me.

Since you are very limited by wheel width 245/40-18 front and 255/40-18 rear

do you think the 45 series would work as well trying to keep the ride kind of smooth as well?

The 245/40 front is very close to the same as the stock 225/45 so ther is hardly a difference in harshness the rear tire I suggest is slightly shorter and will have hardly any noticeable difference in ride quality.

The type of tire you buy will dictate harshness, many tires of the same size will ride very different

so that means I could also stick with the 225/45 up front as well and just switch the rear? or would that throw handling off too much?

thanks for the help sorry for all the questions, use to running rwd 17s/16s much larger sizes or having a fwd car

They will work, but .... I stick to my previous suggestion if your trying to improve the handling and traction.
