Default Will these Work wheels work

Hey guys. New z owner looking to upgrade my wheels this summer. I have the brickyard fire color z and was wanting some wheels to set the car off more. Well I came along these Work VS-XX wheels that are yellow or gold ish color.

Was thinking either yellow or find some white wheels. Think the gold will set the purple off though.. Thoughts?

Yeah I kinda thought so also. I mean the stock silver or grey doesn't look bad on it to be honest. My boss was telling me gold color brake calipers would look good then I found these wheels.

So... You're OK with the gold color?

We need to add this to the Vote Total.

I personally think the gold wheels would set my car off or maybe I'm just fixated on them wheels.. What do you think spike? I would for sure be open to suggestions esp if the wheels were cheaper than the gold.

burgundy and gold always match . not clash , contrast nicely

you have 2 lip options step & straight

mine are straight

stepped are lovely

check out SSR MS1 as well , stellar wheels

TYSVM for the nice comments

if you have any questions about diameter , width , and suspension mods feel free

IMHO aftermarket wheels only look better than OEM if you lower the car

so at the very least 1" drop on springs is mandatory for it to look right

The SSR MS1 are nice but the VS-XX I think has better color as far as the gold color. What drop springs would you recommend?

if all you want is to take a bit of the wheel gap out

and have a very conservative drop

if you use 19" diameter wheels with 35 series tires

any spring will give you a 3/4" drop more or less

hotchkis or eibach should do that

but that is about all your going to get from springs

i am lowered about 2" at least , and coilovers is what you want for that

I'm not too too worried about the gap. I would like It a bit lower but to be completely honest I live in a small town which don't worry about the roads. The car already sits low enough where I have to worry about what roads I go down. There are two ways to get to my house and 1 is already cancelled out when I drive my car.

I might stay with 18"s and get drop springs.

The correct name of your color is Interlagos Fire. It was the one year only color for 2006. Brickyard was the one year only color during the 2003 model year.

Thanks for clearing that up! I'm a newbie to owning a Z and people keep asking me color. It's hard to define a color that changes anyways lol

OP, What do you want the wheels for? Looks? Weight reduction? Width?

If I was you I would look into some SBC RPF1s in 18x9.5 or 10.5 +15 all around (or staggered which is more popular) They are a lightweight wheel, and would look great in the SBC finish (black chrome). PLUS, they would be WAY cheaper than the Work wheels.

For lowering, don't do it until you can afford the camber/toe adjusting components also.
I had Tanabe GF210s and the spring mount mod (lowers the rear an extra ~3/4th inch) and I loved the look. I got a great deal on some BC BR coils or else I'd still be on the Tanabes.

I'll post pix of my car on the springs, and on the coils, with RED RPF1s.

As jdmfetish said, if you want suggestions feel free to PM me as I have had stock wheels, 19" Varrstoens 2.2.2s, 19" Volk GTS, and now 18x10.5 RPF1s. I can talk you through most set ups as well as offsets.

Not looking for anything particular. Obviously any weight reduction would be a plus. I don't want my wheels sticking out too far. Roads are crappy where I live and already hard to keep the car clean. I would love to lower the car just a tad bit more but not too much. I was also looking at these wheels because they are a lot cheaper.
