My suggestion is to know what you want and keep an eye on the private classified section here and on other Nissan sites. My purchase of a used set of BBS Rg-Rs came almost a decade ago when a my350Z member put his up for sale. It was one of the biggest ticket items I've purchased from a distance, but also one of the best! Lightweight, forged alloy wheels with an offset and bolt pattern to match the Z33 AND a great price to match. I didn't hesitate after verifying what was included in the sale with the owner and have been satisfied ever since.

In my case, however, I have three sets of wheels and tires for my '03. A set of Track V1s, Track V.2/GT, Volk GTC... total spent on WHEELS (not incl. tires)... $1750. I like the "quantity of good used wheels" over the "single set of bright shiny new ones" form of ownership. Heh heh.
Also gives me project/hobby work.... fixing minor curb rash and refinishing. As long as they're not bent, I'm OK with doing that. I buy used forged wheels only to avoid or minimize that possibility. Have to prang a forged wheel pretty hard to bend it.

I would check first the forum vendors' section then ebay or amazon. Printing the best deal you find online and showing it to local shops is also a good idea to know if they can beat or match the price.

I picked up a set of wheels from element wheels. They are based out of Arizona. My wheels came quickly enough and the price was the cheapest I found. Plus, if I remember correctly they shipped for free.
Now, I just need to pick up tires that will fit and throw those puppies on!

I also looked on wheelflip dot com and it had some GREAT deals on used Volks and Work wheels. But that usually involves shipping and buying sight unseen. Which is fine, IF you ask all the right questions.
MAKE SURE you're not getting a replica if you're paying legit wheel price. Research markings, offset available, etc, and get multiple pictures with current date on the paper. If the seller won't comply, hit the road. I had an instance where a guy was selling some TE37s that I was SOOOO interested in. They were in between Varrstoen and Volk price so I was cautious. I asked a million questions and had him take (blurry) pictures to verify. I ended up passing on them since he couldn't get any clear pictures. About a month later I saw a For Sale post with the same wheels and the buyer got had by the seller. Too bad that happened, but it wasn't to me
PM me if you have any specific questions regarding sizing and offsets.
Best of luck!
