Best Steel Opened Ended Lug Nuts
Hello everyone!
I've been searching for months for the best steel open ended lug nuts and have not found anything of good quality. I've gone through about 3 sets to find out they were aluminum (bad description online when buying ) and stripped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

I have aluminum lugs on my cars with multiple sets of wheels that I switch around all the time. Never stripped any of the lug nuts.
It may be your studs causing the issue. They either need to be replaced or threads need to be repaired. Avoid using an impact gun. I always hand tighten with a proper torque wrench.

Thank you, I’ll look into those! They look nice!
At this point, I don’t mind spending the extra money lol. I don’t want to invest any more money in lug nuts lol. Both look great, thank you for the suggestion!

Another vouch here for the SR48s, but I do find the finish on them is fairly easy to scratch or damage.
If you do get them, take a minute and file down the edges of the socket they provide with them to reduce the amount of scratches you'll make on the finish, the edges on mine were quite sharp and I only noticed after the fact.

Varrstoen makes an excellent forged steel lug nut. I know lots of people look down at anything made by Varrstoen but these are pretty good.

Bought these and have had them for almost a year now and they work perfectly. Comes with a wheel piece for the lug nuts for the added security too and it's dirt cheap. Pretty sure they have them in chrome too. They're not open ended, but it does its job. I picked these up because I have tuner wheels on my Z. A lot easier to take the wheel off as opposed to having the stock lugs. Kit also comes with only 20 lugs, not 24 (as it is advertised)-_-

I've been using cheap NRG aluminum lugs since shortly after I bought the car had a couple strip out over the years , not concerned with how many wheel swaps I do.

I friggin' HATE aluminum. When I first bought my G, and I was trying to be a super stancygang illestflush hellapokeymon gui wheel *****, I had rays lugs and I stripped a few before I even got fitment dialed in (numerous times). It was annoying as all get out having to MAKE open ended lugs in a hot shop just so I could go do some hangs in a parking lot for a few hours. Then, when I added track time to that and would have to swap between stancy wheels and drifty wheels, it continued. Then, I got REGULAR friggin Moteki's and began to love life again. Aluminum lugs are good for shows. When they have "real" names on them like Rays, all the girls in mini-skirts with questionable tatoos, and guys who wear knit caps half way off their head in the summer and have Bride Ergo seats in their car that doesn't drive past a track, let alone ON one, will love it. But, the practicality of them is for the birds.

I've used kics r40s, sr48s, and now kics leggduras. The thread on all of them held up just fine. The finish on the r40s and leggduras can take a real beating and still look great. The SR48 finish looks like *** after a couple install/removal cycles.

I wouldn't worry about steel lugs so much... I have a set of blue SR48's on one car and Neo Chrome Z-Racing (eBay) ones on another. To be honest, u can't even tell a difference.... They both look good as new. I Impact them off all the time too...
