You're feeling persecuted. I based my comment - and that's all that was, a comment - based on your initial photo that seemed to show the tire was without tread. Look at the pic, taking out the fact that you know the tire and that you took the pic and tell me what you see on that one pic alone.

Irritated or not, you presume that my words presumed something I couldn't know (your knowledge of how to measure tread life). I only tried to help with a recommendation based on presented evidence. A mistake on my part for not recognizing your tire.

I'll just know going forward that if you do ask for help on this forum again that I'm certainly not going to offer it. Have a nice life.

Sure, you might find a shop that will patch it for you but it's just not safe. Back in the day, it might have been sufficient to patch and tube the tire but no one uses tire tubes any longer, at least not for wide, low profile performance tires.

Replace it. Cheaper to do that than risk a high speed blowout in a corner.

But OP yeah take it to Pepe's Tires/Tacos and Taxes they'll patch it up!

Didn't have to. Led Schwab did it for free. They didn't even warn me of a risk.

If there is anyone on this forum who isn't clueless, it's Mic, he had decades of experience before the majority of new members on this forum were born.
The reason we say you shouldn't risk a blowout, it's because we've been stupid before, patched a tire we shouldn't have and had a blowout and don't want someone else going down that road.

I is old. Laff....

Nahhhhhhhh.... one is only as old as one thinks they are. At 50-something-goin'-on-28, there are some days of old but nights of bold.....
