Default 18x9 +35, 18x9.5 +45, what size tires?

Running stock everything right now on an 05 Touring. Picked up some really nice SSRs for a good price, with the size/offset listed in the title.

What all will I need to get these flush and sized correctly? What tire size should I go with (no stretch)? Size spacers to get close to flush?

Not looking to do anything crazy, just looking to get closer to flush and away from the stock look.

Thanks in advance!

You got the wrong offsets. Fronts are meh, rears are for a Honda. You need something closer to 18x9.5 +15 square or 9.5F/10.5R +15. I'd worry about inner rubbing, you need some 30mm spacers to get it remotely close to flush for the rear.

this. i think the factory rear offset are like a +35 so you are going to be 10mm more sunken in. going to look like poo poo if they even fit. even though you got a good price, you screwed yourself

OK, moving on from these truisms with water and dollars under the proverbial bridge, lessee what we can do heah to salvage the investment.....

Front: Add a 15mm spacer (effective +20) with a 245 OR 255/40-18

Rear: Add a 20mm (or you can go 25mm but I'd stick with 20mm at the "safer" range of "adjustment) for effective +25mm. (Works for me with my Z34 S-Tunes run at effective +27) Tire size: 275/40-18

Pics when done.

So conservative....

25 mm spacer front 30-35mm in rear car will be flushed up...

Or sell in craigslist for a TL that they belong on.

Yep, Mr. Conservative... that would be me. I prefer function > form.

But why?

- While I say that, there is the appearance standpoint... I want to avoid that frog like appearance when there's no tire inside to back up the "meaty flush" LOOK.

- But more importantly, to avoid excessive altering of the scrub radius, resulting in sluggish, numb on-center feel, diminished steering response.

And I'm an absolute fanatic about steering response, even over ultimate grip. I'll take crisp, sharp, controlled turn-in over that extra .02g ultimate grip, thanks.

I know that I have about 10mm to go on my car before fender interference but it's not worth risking any the above.

This just sent me on a craigslist binge for the last hour... Everyone wants too much for their old scratched up junk around here.

275/40R18 W/ 20MM SPACER REAR. Will stick out 4mm more than stock wheel without spacer. People usually run 25mm spacers in the rear. 20mm should do the trick.

Though I would measure for yourself

Fronts no idea

First off, thanks for the feedback, positive and negative.

Second off, it was a set of GTV03s for $450 with very very minor curbage, everything else was pristine. Overall probably 95/100 condition Seller was being evicted and needed cash ASAP. He originally had them on his 240sx running 225/40/18 all around(he threw the tires in for free, but they were all shot). So, I figured I would see if they would fit, and if not, sell them and make some profit.

I would really like to try and get them to fit, but if not, no worries.

So best way to go is 15mm space in front, running 245 or 255/40/18 and rears 275/40/18 with a 20mm spacer?

Yeah pretty much... 255/40 front 275/40 rear... For tires..

I would do 20mm front 25 rear as a min but thats up to you...

You could do as little as 10mm rear and it would probably work fine just look sunken in like stock wheels, if your going to use spacers might as well space them to look good.

So would 20mm up front and 25mm rear be better off than 15mm front and 20mm rear?

Front tires 245/40/18 or 255/40/18?

I was planning on running everything new, tires and spacers. Just need to know what to get. As mentioned before, not looking for anything exotic, just got a good deal on wheels that were the correct bolt pattern and wanted to see if it was possible to get them to fit since by the time I bought new spacers and tires, I will still be under the price of buying those wheels new, and the ones I got are practically brand new.

Thanks for all the input guys, if anybody has any input, please feel free to let me know.

And for those wondering what kind of shape they are in...

Also, on a side note, will everything clear? Rub or no rub?

If it were me, I would run 20 up front, 25 rear. Tires I would do 245/40 and 275/40 combo.

Thanks for vette compliment

While a lot of people call me crazy, my dream car is a vette. Yes I know, out of all the cars in the world, a corvette. Pretty shallow.

Reason being, my dad used to race his corvettes in college with his roommate. He had a total of 3 vettes, which he raced on weekends. Loved em. Have baby pictures of myself in the driver seat with my dad. Anyhow, his roommate was racing and wrecked, car caught fire and he passed in the crash. Dad sold all of the corvettes because of that memory.

So, shallow or not, always wanted to have one. Sooner or later, 30 years old or 60 years old, I am sure I will have one in the garage.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated!

Nothing will rub with your proposed setup.

I agree with your comment to Travlee. His Corvette matches or exceeds the majority of exotics, costs less to purchase and maintain, and is a better car.
