The 2009 Nissan 370Z is 2.7 inches shorter and 1.3 inches wider, and although the styling has something plainly in common with the previous (2008) model, almost every plane and contour is subtly or distinctly different. The wheelbase of this sixth-generation car is almost four inches shorter than the previous-generation 350Z, and all of the sheet metal is new. Nissan is calling the 370Z an all-new car, and it's hard to argue with that.

The new 2009 Nissan 370Z dots the road more and more these days. On the surface, Nissan's latest Z chassis has a lot in common with its big "sister", the Nissan 350Z, though the new Fair Lady is shorter and wider. You also see little gestures that are a throwback to its roots, the rear window even beckons back to the 1970 Nissan 240Z.
The 2009 Mazda RX-8 is not well-known for its flashiness, perhaps preferring to be lauded for its differences - the obvious one being its rotary-powered "renesis" engine, which was designed to reduce exhaust emissions while producing greater power. Already considered a performance alternative, does it have a chance against the well-received new 2009 Nissan 370Z?
Nissan takes two swipes at the sports coupe market in 2009 with the 2009 Nissan 370Z and the 2009 Infiniti G37; the former has just started to dot the streets but the latter has been on the market for a couple of years.
The Nissan Z series has come a long way in its 40 years to now seriously contend with a Porsche. All together now, in the "same breath": 2009 Nissan 370Z and the 2009 Porsche Boxster S. Even more inspiring for Nissan owners and enthusiasts, the Z chassis might be the favorite.
How does the 2009 Nissan 370Z fare against classic muscle found in the 2009 Ford Mustang GT? Along with other contenders, the Mustang GT is one of the competitors the 370Z will need to overcome for a bigger slice of the performance market. Not only does the GT have the technical specs to compete, but the name and prestige of a classic.
The 2009 Nissan 370Z and the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe exemplify cars that you really want to drive; offering bundles of power, lots of gadgets, and tons of personality (sometimes that suggests "they break down a lot", but not in this case). Nissan has a more popular legacy of designing, developing, and building cars that you want on your driveway. Hyundai throws their hat into the ring with the introduction of the 2010 Genesis Coupe; a vehicle gaining interest every day.
If you are looking into buying a new 2009 Nissan 370Z, then chances are you are after something with a bit of growl, some grunt, and a lot of power. The performance car market can make your decision difficult with so many offerings: the Ford Mustang series, the BMW 3 Series, and rally cars such as the nimble and coveted 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo-X. Many will ponder between the two in the coming months.
2009 Nissan 370Z specs posted here. Who could ask for more, 2 Fair Lady Nissan Z's in one year; a fantastic nexus where the Nissan 350Z Z33 and Z34 chassis meet and co-exist for a time. The MSRP is still good, the engine and horsepower bumped up, and a double wishbone front suspension joining forces with the classic multi link rear suspension. No matter how much things change (in good ways), things just seem to stay the same.
The new 2009 Nissan 370Z will be further covered in upcoming comparison and review articles.
Nissan versus BMW. If you are making the comparison, it suggests you're after power. Both cars have that in spades, but there are some little details worth taking a look at to make sure you put yourself behind the wheel of the right car.
The 2009 Nissan 370Z is the latest addition to the Nissan Z-car family; the 370Z follows its elder brother, the Nissan 350Z, and sees Nissan enter 2009 in fine style. Unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in October, the 370Z is soon to be released in a coupe version with the roadster to follow in a year.
Nissan's Z-car series will celebrate its 40th birthday in 2009. In an interesting twist on the old adage "Life begins at 40", Nissan have chosen this year to launch their latest addition to the series, the 370Z. In a nod to its past, the 370Z has been compared in terms of its looks to the 240Z - the granddaddy of them all. Of course, the new arrival has more in terms of power than the old guard - but it is still a Z car.
