Smile Z OEM car cover

Just thought I'd share some photos of the OEM car cover on my Z (for those of you looking for a good car cover)

Not bad at all, i didn't think it would fit so snug

I'm thinking about a cover for the winter

I got 92 legend coup to drive for the winter so the z will be sitting alot more than last year.

I had three close calls with mainly black ice and i don't want to go through that again

Thanks for sharing

The cover fits very snug and it's lightweight, making it easier to put on than most aftermarket covers I've used. It was worth the $$$ IMO.

Nice cover! Much better fit than the one I use, it's just a general purpose one. Can you fold in the mirrors?

I have this cover too. It is perfect and well worth the money. It keeps the car extremly clean. The dust in Chicago can get nasty even in my garage. The best part though is you don't have to take off the antenna.

And yes you can fold the mirrors in. I put them in their pockets first, and then fold the mirror like nomal.

Got mine at Courtesy for ~180 i think. Worth every penny.

Same here. I think the cover is worth every penny!

Repels water very well, keeps the Z nice and squeaky clean =)

What about having te cover on the Z outside in the winter time? Does it get really stiff and freeze up, or is it easy to remove? Any frost built up underneath it on the windows from a heavy freeze the night before?

I have a "Evolution 4"car cover. It fits like a glove and 4layers of protection. It breathes and keeps the Z clean even after a rainstorm. It gets moist underneath the cover but dries out spot free. It was worth the $150. I wonder how it will hold up in the winter.

It does look nice. I´ll be interested. One question, dumb..but what the heck...The question is: Is that cover locked?, I mean nobody can actually take it off?..

The cover is locked. It actually comes with a cable and lock to secure it to the car. You can't see it, but it's on the otherside.

I negotiated the car cover at cost as part of the deal when I bought my car and I also really like it.

I do, however, want to warn people about one thing: if you live in a windy area like I do, although the cover will not fly off, the back off it will constantly rub up and down. The car cover material is soft enough that it will not scratch the paint, but the plastic window (which is there to let you see the back license plate) will end up scratching the paint between the trunk lid and the license plate. I assume this is mostly a problem on dark colors.

I found an easy fix though. I used a small $3 microfiber towel and had a friend sew it on the inside of the car cover to completely cover the plastic window.

I dont have the little window on the rear of the cover like the OEM one. I dont know why they want to show your plates?

Default bump

What about in the wintertime when there is a freeze, do any of you have a car cover not just this one that you have on the car outside after a heavy freeze, what does it do to the cover, is it stiff as a board, stuck to the car, etc?
