besides don't think any comments made here will affect the way he behaves on the road
at least worked for it himself
enthusiast if u ask me, and thats all that matters here imo

Had to chime in on this. I do remember what it was like being 18 years old and I also remember getting into a really bad accident. Was it my fault? Probably, but I needed to get into that accident to learn. Just like every 18 year old out there, lessons are learned the hard way and thats the only way those lessons are learned.
All I can say is, enjoy the car but be careful when taking the car up to speeds that high. The Z doesn't come with the greatest tires and any slick patch of road at that speed and youre done. Take the Z to the track and you can drag all you want.
Oh and to answer your question, the first mod I would do is not performance related at all, I would completely gut out the entire audio system and replace with better stuff.

Ive heard of youthful exuberance, but you should have a least got to know the parameters of the machine before you took it up to that speed, and learning those parameters should have been done at the track. Good luck with the car, stay safe.

it is obvious that the kid is a flamer. "badass" teenager. story is probably made up as well, he wanted to sound cool by sayin he was goin 140..stupid. and if he did do it, take Z-Stalkers advice on the mods u should do..

Sorry man but your blanket assesment of young people is wrong, I had more common sense when I was that age. If everyone who bought their first car did that the streets would be insane.
Btw, is "ur" a word? Seems like we have one idiot defending another one.

btw, a very close friend of mine died when he had his learning permit in a terrible accident. The only reason I wasn't with him was because it was my 18th birthday and I decided not to go with him that night. It was the only reason I didn't die with him. He was decapitated after hitting a telephone pole. He was driving his Mom's car and the dork he was with decided to pass 3 cars on a 2 lane road. Paul followed him and the last car he was passing made a left and knocked his car into the pole.
He died instantly (obviously) because of his idiocy behind the wheel. The woman was not charged at all because it was not her fault in any way.
Every birthday I remember getting the call from my Mom. Every birthday I think about him. Every time I got behind the wheel I apply what I learned about his death to the way I drive. That was 23 years ago.
