Default Help.....sos......help!!!!!!

I was coming to a stop.....while the car was just about full rest i heard a sping like "SPRUNGGGGG" sound. Now the right rear break squeals like a banshee. WTF is wrong??? I mean I had my wheels changed and they said my front brakes were low but this happened shortly after I left there. Is this something they broke or is this a dealer issue??? But most importantly WHAT THE h*$L is it??????

If you just left a shop then it sounds like they may have done it.

Why dont you check your rotors? I hope you didnt **** up the rotors. Well I had this weird screeching noise coming from the brakes awhile back. Nothing was wrong. I think there was a pebble stuck in the calipers. But it did scared the **** out of me!

I'm gonna guess that you cracked a pad and the sound you heard was the piece of the pad hitting the disc shield. Just a guess, but based on the symptoms, it sounds right. The disc shields are very thin metal. Something hitting them would sound like a spring "snapping".

It appears as if the brake noise has dissapated only to be replaced by a sloww"CREEEEEEEk" from the right rear wheel when slowly engaging 1st gear. Also if i tap the gas while in 1st it does the same. Now i draw the wrong attention to my car. I get the WTF is wrong with your car attention and that sucks more than the brake noises.

Anyone??? Suggestions???

Nah man 28's that spin when i stop....And i chromed the whole car too.....and then i bought the gold fronts for my teeth to match

They are 19" x 10" with a 25L offset and 19" x 9" with a 25 SH offset(i believe)

They fit flush with the fenders tho!!!!

The manual says that the squealing noise is created when the brake pads get low. My honda needs new pads and it is squealing right now.

You need to pull the wheel and look, not keep driving it, you could damage the rotor and cause more exensive damage. It may just be a low pad. It sounds like you are already grinding though, so you may already need a new rotor.

Not sure what the spring sound is.... but I think the first thing you should do is pull it off and look at it. If you dont know anything about brakes, then have someone who does look at it.

And then have them explain how brakes work to you so next time you can do it yourself

What you may see are cracked pads...

or very very low pads, and the rotor will be scuffed. If the pad is worn down to the metal, or is cracked, and metal to metal contact has been made, you will need to have your rotor ground, or most likely replaced.

I was under the impression that rotors must be re-surfaced prior to installing new brake pads. Is this correct?
