I have the stock track wheels, and I'm running 245's all around, I'm just wondering is that going to rub, becaues nissan said that it is going to rub up against the struts?

The z doesnt have struts. It has a 4 link suspension.

I can't imagine 245's rubbing on a non lowered vehicle with the track wheels.

I thought the bigger tires in the front would be better to help the oversteer a little.

Do you guys notice the car understeering worse with the wider front tires?

The Z was practically intended to have 245's in the front. Take it from Nismo engineers.

I also have 275's in the rear. But like grifferjr said, you have to ensure the proper offset.

its the stock tr6ack wheels, I didn't think I needed to worry about the offset since its stock, and I've seen people who were running 245's in the front and 275's in the rear with stock track 18's.

So would it be alright to run 245's all around w/ the stock track wheels?

I'm thinking of running that this Spring on my Track wheels. How did it change the handling? Did it have any impact on the TCS/VDC?

hey sungnamz, hows your Vortech Sc doing. Is your tranny holding up? Any mods on the tranny? Also I thought the VOrtech SC is only for manual trannies, any mods to the kit?

should not rub at all. and for those people that are going to run the same size all the way around. good choice. much more practical. and in theory it should also make for a more even handling Z. you can even save cash by rotating to some degree.

one thing you will have to remember is that the downside to this is that the car was made to have the stock .5-.75 inch stagger. so when you do this you will mess the cars computer up to where it will inadvertently think the rear wheels are spinning thus kicking in the TCS and messing with the VDC. If you do not drive the Z in inclimate weather, then this is fine all you have to do is turn your VDC and TCS off. Hell most guys and gals that do aggressive driving turn these off anyway.

if you ever read the one magazine, cant recall the actual mag, maybe autoweek, or road and track. they chose their tire size by finding the widest possible rubber that would fit in the front then they sized the rear according to stock stagger. but i think i remember in the article where they said this was really for aesthetic purposes only. the car would probably handle best with same on all four corners, but they had no intention of disabling the cars computers.

sorry for the length but hope this helps.

As stated in a previous post, it seems to turn much easier than it did with the OEM 225's or the 235's I was running before the current 245's. I maintained "stagger", so I have not noticed an impact on TCS/VDC.

Don't want to get off track, but will make a short reply. Vortech SC is doing very well, as is my tranny. No mods on tranny to date, but looking at Level 10 VB and Edge TC upgrades after 1st of the year. No mods to the kit, but TS did a "limited" ECU reflash to overcome shifting problems (100% throttle, rev limit 7100 and increased speed limit).

I have been driving all day, and It seemed as though there is no rubbing at all and it seems as though it has not been tripping the VDC at all.
