I only hated corvettes for the fact that the interior was cheap a la camaro style....but they def improved this Zo6....
They say 55K-70K fully loaded

This is the new standard for the affordable supercar range. It is the best Z06 ever. Chevy didn't just drop a big *** engine in and call it a day, they even went for extensive lightening of the car to compensate the weight gain. I want one!!!

I live in the one and only city in the world where the corvette is made, Bowling Green, KY. I have seen many of the new C6's around for quite some time, but no Z06's yet.
Both my neighbors work for GM and one of them brought the new C6 home one time and I must agree with Noah. One of the best things corvette has done is to update that crappy camoro style interior. Much more modern, but it still leaves you wanting a little more for such an expensive car.
He let me drive it and it is definitely a power house, but when all was said and done, I was glad to get back in my Z. The vette just feels like too big of a car IMO.
Don't get me wrong I would take one, but there are so many around here they just naturally turn me off.

I think the upcoming Z06, just like any of the other C6's, will be plagued by many "gremlins" for the first 12-18 months, until GM addresses them. Basically, the same way as it happened for the C5 when it was first released to the general public.

New 2006 ZO6 has rating of 500 hp with sticker of 70k. That is a lot. Wait and they will go down in price , I have a 99 Z28 SS Hugger orange only 375 like mine made love it but is garaged now 108,455k miles so it is retired anyway I originally wanted a corvette but the z28 was same engine LS-1 but 20k cheaper I call it the poor man's corvette. Corvettes are just overpriced for american made 2seater.

I'd rather have a modded Z and a lotus elise - oh wait that's what I have (well in aug i get the elise)
my dad is in his 50's and he got an auto C6 a couple months ago.
He also doesn't really drive the car hard at all. Mainly just gets from place to place.
Funny how stereotypical that is...
I mean, why drive a vette if you're not gonna drive it?

Yeah most Vette owners are over 45 and driven like a old man! Better off driving a Lincoln or Caddy. GM should come with a high tech modern engine instead of the ancient "pushrod"engine for the Vettes.
