Default How much wider can she go?

How much wider than stock tires can you go on the stock rear rims (17") without looking rediculous or rubbing the fenderwells?

believe it or not 275. But you would need to change the fronts (wider) as well. To fix the offset.

from what I understand you can put on 275's on your 8in wheels but they will look really bulgy. They will also wear out faster and be a little more spongy in feel because your sidewalls won't be straight.

IMHO the widest I'd go on 8's would be maybe 255, but personally I'd do 245

I run 275 40 17 on the stock wheels for auto-x they look and feel fine on the car, I even run them on the front stock wheel. You need to have the right tire though with a super stiff side wall.

I am planning on going with 245/45/17 up front and 255/45/17 on the back. I have done alot of searching on the forum and that seems to be pretty common for people replacing their tires.

Lots of people have gone 275 on the rear stock 17inch tire.

OK I just bought Sumitomo HTR+ tires for the rears 255/45WR17 for sale price of 99.00 bux ea from Tire Rack. Even if they arent the greatest, they're a far cry from the $250.00 POS tires the Z comes with.
