bah, just stuff a fat chick under the strut bar.
as for the 4.5, i'd imagine it would since Carlos Gohsn is all about streamlined profiteering.
but if not, the M45 was made available with a manual tranny as the Cedric Gran Turismo in Japan, so it's out there.

Seriously -- the best way to make the Z into an AWD is to trade it in on an Infiniti FX35.

There is two 350zs that were changed over to all wheel drive that is over in japan. Its in the octobers issue of import racer (the same one with Mr.b's Z on the cover). They both have skyline rb26dett motors in it. Its crazy. So it can be done if you have the cash.

You guys are really selling AWD short. The Fact that the large majority of the public doesnt know how to launch with excessive ammounts of power means that I [in my humble 170hp car (when its free of Vac Leaks)] Have never lost a launch to a RWD/FWD Car. The ammount of power I can transfer is amazing.
Also Being able to pass SUV's in a snow storm is an adrenyl high.
Also being able to put more gas into the engune in the middle of a turn, without your rear end swinging out is pretty advantageous too
To all of you neighsayers who said
Those cars dont have near the class and streer presence of an Audi, much less a 350Z. They are just a poor mans race car.
Good luck on the change over man.
(also, IIRC the AWD System they are trying to use on the skyline is only 70lbs, You should look into weather thats something you could possibly get your hands on)

The idea isnot bad at all, Actually i have just fitter Rb2530 in my 350z and try to mount gearbox from GTR and i was wondered that no modification was needed to fit transmission there, so that isnot impossible even more u can use awd system from R32 where u can switch 2wd -4wd by simple button
