I'm bouncing off the walls

I need serious help!

My Z is due next week, and i ordered it 6 months ago, back then it was exciting but i was OK, but now it's a whole different situation, i can't stop thinking about it, Damn you guys for telling me all these great things about the Z, now i can't wait and i have this reoccuring dream that i drive my Z off the dealer lot and i get hit by a huge truck :icon8:

I even ordered my first mod on Performance Nissan: Nismo floor mats :icon14:

Somebody got some tips for me how to make it through this week? LMAO :)

gburch Mar 21, 2005 01:06 PM

I prefer the stock floormats actually :)! I am out of town and working my car deal over the phone. I get to go get it friday if all goes well and I haven't been able to sleep for the last 3 nights. I am excited too....man waiting 6mnths is a long time. I opted to not get the sunset because of a 2 month wait, instead I am taking a SilverStone. You got the anniversary edition, nice! I wish I could afford it. Actually its probably better that I can't. What color you getting?

Hangout at the dealer all week, go on some daily test drives etc.. :icon38:

Neo105 Mar 21, 2005 01:15 PM

Well it is only available over here in Super Yellow, and Black, since i did not like the Yellow that much i decided Black was my thing :)

But the price difference is minimal... the normal 350Z (I think it's a touring over there with you guys) is 50K in euro, and the GT4 was 51.250 and for that money i have a very special edition since there are only 27 produced that i know of :)

Neo105 Mar 21, 2005 01:16 PM

Whaha, i'm driving my dealer nuts! every day after work i just go over there and drool all over it :D

Go easy on the gas, and learn your ride. Every vehicle has it's own personality and limits. Enjoy and be careful.

Z'd Up Mar 21, 2005 07:38 PM

1. start checking around your area for a good tint shop
2. order a JWT popcharger and a shorty antenna
3. clean out your garage if you have one
4. plan out some nice road trips
5. make a check list of what to inspect before you drive your sweetZ off the lot

good luck!

I'm in the same boat almost. I ordered an 05 track in December and its scheduled to be here April 18th. I call the dealer every 2 weeks on monday just to make sure they remember me.LOL But since waiting all this time I have gone a little overboard with the part ordering. Wheels, sway, headunit, harnessbar, and my exhaust has been ordered. I'm a little anxious to say the least. :icon4: :icon21:

so you might have some of the parts before you even get your car

mikedZ33 Mar 21, 2005 08:52 PM

Add some clear or smoked side markers to that list. I bought my set the day after i ordered my Z.

NorCal350 Mar 21, 2005 09:01 PM

Man, It sucks that my only mod for my Z until well at lest summer is my Z!

PDX_Racer Mar 21, 2005 10:30 PM

Ordered Nov. 20th, due April 2nd.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a garage full of stuff for their Z before they get it!

p.s. I've been going nuts since mid-January, and my kids are more interested in me getting the car than I am -- even though the oldest isn't even going to be able to drive for at least 8 years!

Aside from tinting her and adding the clearbra, I don't plan on modding the Z until next year.

1. Tint is illegal :icon8:
2. Shorty Antenna on order, JWT Pop charger... Breakin it in first, or is that not nessecary?
3.Garage has been cleaned out for 6 months now
4. My Work makes me drive at least 500 miles a week, so i guess i'll be taking the Z to germany (Autobahn) after my breakin :D
5. Almost Memorized my check list :D

Very good advice, i've driven other fast cars, but i totally agree with you that every fast car has his own personality, and i will not underestimate that fact :)

Just wait until you drive it on the autobahn. There is just something about driving 120mph with the top down to work.

I keep a comb in my office desk now.... :icon38:

Neo105 Mar 22, 2005 08:03 AM

I got the coupe :p

Not going to pay another 7 grand on top of the (already) high price... and i just dont think the soft top looks nice while it's up, and since i live in holland, that probably will be 90% of the time, so i decided a coupe was the way to go...

BTW I used to drive the autobahn with a E 320 Benz, so i kinda know that feeling :p :icon26:

bhk1004 Mar 22, 2005 08:41 AM

i believe it will be a completely different feeling from going 120+ in an e320 and a 350z... i mean i know its a big difference from when I used to drive really fast in my parents 740 to the 350z...
