Engine too quiet inside the car
Hello, I just got a 2005 350z. I really like it, but I find the engine note inside the cockpit is too muffled and quiet. It sounds good with the windows down, but that's not always an option. I was wanting some input on making the motor a bit more noisy from the cockpit and sound a little bit better. Not a catback, I mean the engine itself.
Thanks for any input.

I agree with what folks are saying about the JWT Popcharger. Definitely adds an awesome growl to the engine. I installed it just for the sound, to be honest. Not intrusive at all, doesn't make any nasty droning on the freeway, but when you get on the gas it is most definitely a fantastic sound.
And I'm not sure what you mean by a loud exhaust vs a loud engine, but most of the aftermarket exhausts combined with high flow cats or test pipes will increase the volume of the car tremendously. I have a Nismo exhaust, and with high flow cats it was so loud inside the cabin it became uncomfortable on long road trips. Test pipes would make it even louder. Same goes for just about any exhaust. High flows will increase the loudness, test pipes will increase it even more.

^I believe one of the sponsers carries it for $110. Maybe check Performance Nissan's website?
$120 on their website and they maybe offer a discount to My350Z members?

my 05 is still stock too, I have to roll down the windows to enjoy the exhaust and engine too. The Z gets up to speed so fast that I can't enjoy it without an earful of wind noise though.
How's that for a complaint. My Z is too fast booo hooo hooo
haha lol
