Heheh! Been there and done that too! No scratch but the plastic edge got freyed (?sp); I now park the car at least two feet back, since the car length is shorter I don't have to worry about the cars beside me scraping it on the way out.
Few weeks after I got my car I noticed a tiny paint nick on the front bumper.
First car wash... the door edge lightly bumped into this concrete thing by the vacuum cleaner, and it chipped the paint.
So I decided to drive out to the dealership and get touch up paint to fix the tiny imperfections. I ended up scraping the bottom driver side of the bumper when i turned into a driveway by the parts department. I was pretty pissed by then.
So.... i ended up using alot more touch up paint than intended.

The air dam under the front end of my 98 Camry was so low that it finally fell off after my hitting low parking blocks about 100 times. I wish car makers would test their front ends over standard hight parking blocks.
All this talk about scraping the undersurface of the front bumper has convinced me to buy the 3M paint protection film segment for that area from Invinca-shield.
It's only $23, and MAY save the paint surface by acting like a sacrificial coating when you bottom out on low driveways, etc. Obviously it's not going to help you with some more aggressive scrapes.
Check out part #5....

Sorry to inform you but it doesn't help! I have it installed on that same exact peice and it tore the film and still chipped the paint. However it probably did less damage. That shield is da bomb though!

Edretti,
Do you have an Xpel patterned "clear bra" or a custom cut piece? The Xpel bumper piece does not protect the lowest painted surface of the bumper. Unless of course, you scraped the "cross bar" section of the bumper just below the grill.. Ouch.
