Just curious. Would it be legal if you put a euro style plate with your actual license plate numbers on it? I was kinda considering having one custom made since I like the skinny but wide look of their plates if I had to put one on the front. If not that, I was also thinking of painting my actual front plates to have a black background with white lettering so it doesn't stand out too much when I install it on my grill. I know some of the older style plates use different plate colors. I got this idea when I saw a yellow S2K with a black background plate & yellow letters which I thought looked pretty good (BTW...I'm talking about CA plates). What do you guys think? or does this sound like a lame idea?
Sorry. Don't mean to hi-jack.

Well what if it still had the state clearly printed on the plate, would that still be the case? Law Enforcement essentially just need 3 things. State indication, Month/Registration Tags, & the actual plate numbers. I know who you're talking about. mgl (Michelle) right?

You think SoCal is bad? It's even worse up here in NorCal!!!
Eversince I've gotten an aftermarket bumper for my RSX, they ticket my *** for no plates nearly 10x. One day I finally took off my aftermarket front bumper and put back the stock. Eversince then, I've never had ONE fix-it ticket, is that fcuked up or what. I've never had my front plate for either bumpers. >.>

Just tell the cop that you got "so tired of having your metal tire valve stems stolen in wonderfull crime ridden Houston along with both or either of your plates, including frames, that you gave up and don't give a damn anymore.
Then ask, "By the way, how come these kids continue to get away with it?"
If he still writes you a ticket at that point, tell him to make sure that he "notifies you" the next time "he" catches anyone doing such things, as you want your valve stems, frames, and plates back.

Are you guys serious?!??!?!?!? I have driven my SUV for now, 5.5 years without a front license plate. I see law enforcement in front and in back of me, yet, they leave me alone- knock on wood. Many years ago, I had a MR2 with no front license plate, I got pulled over by a State Trooper. Basically, just to see if the car is legit, or not. So, I was let go. Some states don't require front license plate, and if all state abide by that rule, I would follow it. And my dealer didn't put brackets on the front, so why do I have to pay more. They can stop me all they want, they will find nothing on me. I would not worry too much, unless you don't want the hassle of being pulled over because my Z will go tagless until I disown it.

It is much more profitable for the state to ticket for front plates than trying to catch serious offenders.
It pays to be a serious offender. Suxs for people who drive with no front plates.

Points taken off?
Do you get demerit points taken off your driving record for a no front license plate ticket, causing an increase in car insurance payments? Also, what is the pay range for a no front license plate ticket?
