Who do you think will win this race? My brother's 350Z Track Model or my Supra
 

I have a 1988 Red Toyota MK3 Supra Turbo Targa Top 5 Spd with a 1JZGTE motor swap. While my older brother owns a 2003 Redline Nissan 350Z Track Model, which is stock, but is broken in. (he has 1480+ Mileage on his 350Z). We are arguing to eachother which car will win. I saw my car will win by a little, and he says his car will win by a little. We have no idea who will win, that is why i came here to ask you guys advice. Who do you think will be winning this race? Me? or my older brother? And to make this a little bit more interesting, my bro and I have bet 50 dollars for each race. We are having two races. One is from a roll-on, and one is from a dead stop.

It could probably be a pretty good race, i think the 350z will most likely out perform you in corners and handling in general since its a newer car with better suspension parts in it, however off the line could be interesting, dont forget the 350z is a 5.6 sec car, not sure what your car can do, well either way let us now on who wins,

ok, thank you for the info :) BTW, we are not doing turns, of course! we are drag racing on a deserted road (we are trying to make this race as fun and safe as possible!).

See how much torque you got and what the torque curve looks like.

Maybe we can make some theoretical judgements for straight-line dragging.

Assuming your 1JZ motor is stock it will be a drivers race, meaning best driver wins. If you're even slightly modified you'll win (Unless you can't drive).

according to you sig, the Z could certainly without a doubt win(both cases IMO) however, thats COULD win. its not hard to make the Z run a 14.4 if you dont drive it well, as could yours, but I would imagine you have more experience with how to do a good race; while he does not. he COULD beat you from a stop by .3 seconds, but he will have to race a very good race.
