Fairlady Z import?
Okay...I know in Japan they call it the Fairlady, but I was at the dealership this weekend and one of the salesmen there told me they were bringing over the Fairlady, it has a longer front and it's tuned for racing or some crap like that. Any one else hear anything about this and if so, hear anything about a waiting list?
I also asked him about the Skyline, he said that a lot of people are FOR it being a Nissan, since the Skyline isn't an Infinity, it's always been a Nissan. Here's hoping for Nissan...but I digress, how about that Fairlady...anyone?

He is talking about the GT version. I know its a very limited run for production compliance for racing. It does have a longer nose fascia, and different rear wing plus some extra add on crap that is non-functional on the outside. Its mildly tuned, and very expensive.

I'm in Jersey, I called him today and he kinda' blew me off saying ''I said they MAY bring it over.'' I was asking about a waiting list or anything else I could get out of him but then he just said 'Alright?' and hung up on me...real nice.
They don't have any there, he told me they would be over in '06.
Also said some things about a 2 door Altima that I really didn't pay attention to...
Alang, when you say very expensive, what kind of numbers are we talking? What kind of tuning does it have? Thanks.

80% of what the dealer says is BS.
And I don't believe he's telling the truth regarding the 350Z GT version...not to mention it's extremely ugly IMO.
The Skyline (GTR actually) will end up being Infiniti...I just don't see it as being a Nissan in America at least.

Interesting, *sigh* Here's hopeing they'll have 2k6 Track models next year...
I'm not really so much a fan of having to drive the Z in the winter, it sucks in that weather and jersey snow isn't friendly. Even my Accord had problems with it this year...
I'm going to go do some research on the GT, I'm curious to see what it looks like now...

Wow, it's not 'that' bad but yea the 350z does look a little better. From the front it's not that noticable but I hate the way the nose dips like that. Stock for Stock, let's say between the Track model over here and the Fairlady Z Type E, what's the difference that makes the Fairlady Z Type E so much more expensive? We talking 50k expensive or just a few thousand dollars more?
Edit:
Then again the nose, looking from the side, reminds me of the 300zx nose... not too bad actually...
