Default New pads -> pulsating scrubbing noise

Sup,

Anybody was racing in the snow? I did, Monday was the opening day at Watkins Glen and it was snowing!

I went thru the whole set of rear pads in a weekend, so I had to replace them with general pads and polish the rear rotors. So now I have pulsating noise. When I touch the brakes it disappears and there's no vibration so I assume rotors are fine. I drove about 100 miles with multiple stops so pads are broken in. Questions:
1. Why the noise?
2. Why is it pulsating?
3. Would it go away if I put Hawk pads on?

Thanks
Andrew

The front brakes are 75% of your braking, the backs should have been fine. Sounds like the rotors got to hot and maybe crystalized. Try and bed the brakes so if the rotor has any groves after you bed them they will take shape of the rotors or groves.

Like people explained in other threads rear brakes wore faster because
1. vdc was on (if i knew that before I would turn it off)
2. rear pads are smaller and air flow is worse -> higher temp

Why the noise is pulsating? Maybe there's an overheated patch on the rotor?
