is this normal
 

i was launching my z the other day and a few times the tranny shifter whould move side to side almost 6inches or something like that and other times it dident move at all. iam a launching wrong?

6 inches :icon28:!!! Did you mean maybe 6 cm because that's definitely not normal. In fact kind of dangerous. Take it to the dealership. Good luck.

what do i tell the dealer ship iam launching the car and this happens?

Just tell them the shifter seems to be moving excessively and don't even mention a hard launch.
