They do? It should be the same as the Z's, I mean its the same motor different body (but same chasis).

My buddy's new '05 G35 6mt coupe has a 7100 rpm redline, but the fuel cutoff doesn't kick in until 7600 rpm (it also has the 300hp engine). He works for Nissan/Infinity local dealer. The high rpm fuel cutoff took us both by surprise - it doesn't seem to be a "glitch" on his particular G.....has done the same thing on several of the 6mt coupes that his customers have purchased (after their break-in period, of course). Again, this is on the '05 G35 6-speed coupes only. BTW, if I'm not mistaken, the '05 Z Tracks & Anniversary also have the 7100 RPM redline.

I read once that the G35's were getting the 300 HP motor.>>

I don't remember how long ago I read so it could have applied to the "05s. I do remember being miffed that the Infiniti's were getting the hotter engine.

it's the revised engine, same one on the track model, so they both get the higher redline.

Only the 6-speed versions get the 298hp engine.
