I highly doubt it would show anything bad since when it blew "if I remember right" he was just driving like normal. I'm guessing the ECU remembers something like 1-2 mins worth of logging. The idea is for the police to see what happened right before impact in a crash. were you slowing down on doing full throttle....

The dealership isnt going to say "6 months 3 days ago you missshifted and overreved the motor."

As far as exhuast, there's no way in hell it could do damage. The pullies on the other hand, they could have caused a problem.

I had been tracking this for a while. So what was the cause of the problem?

as i understand it, it makes the engine rev faster, since it is lighter, without giving you any more hp.

The lightened flywheel DOES add power as the engine doesn't have to work too hard just to turn it. All that saved energy is sent right to the wheels.

By the way, 350Zbiturbo, I am happy for you, man. It's always awesome when things work out so well.

Todays lesson? Stop installing mods and you won't have to worry about whether or not it was your fault. The Z is plenty fast, especially for a 20yr old. Nothing wrong with making it look good though. Congrats on getting it fixed!

Neat ... I imagine this takes some 'know-how' to install though, eh?

Yes, you could say that! Have a professional do it, IMO.
