I'm in Sacramento 100 + degrees many days. I would suggest first if you have a coupe getting the back window tinted and the two rear. Then what makes a big difference is one of those sun shades that will reflect the rays from your front window. Made a big difference for me.

Here's a strange one about the auto feature. I was heading up the canyons in 100+ heat so I closed the top turned the knobs to auto and 60 degrees thinking it would cool down a bit. Then it starts to get warm and I thought I had this problem. Then I played around with the knobs and adjusted it to 60 degrees and maximum and things started to get colder. I don't think that auto feature works very well. I hope that helps.

Mine works so well I'm in jeopardy of contracting frostbite!!! If I turn it on auto, and set the temp down, I can hear the ice forming! Your's might be undercharged on coolant. I'd have it checked out. Also, I have my windows tinted dark which seems to help.

I live in CALI, and my AC is perfect..nice and chillie...but I kno the air is a lot dense in FL..because of humidty maybe that way u feel different.

Fellow Floridian here and i think mine is too cold, the only time i can use it is when its 90 degrees outside, other than that, it freezes me out!

I live in Sacto as well, and it has nothing to do with where you live.
R134a refrigerant sucks. R12 may have polluted, but dang was it cold. |
I guess my measure of how efficient the AC is on this car is that the fan stays at high forever before it kicks down. My black GTP will run for a few minutes, get cool, then kick down. The Z just keeps struggling at near to high. It gets cold enough, it just doesn't seem to be able to keep up once it gets there as well as my other cars.
