Dyno'd My Stock 2003 5AT Touring 350Z
I went with a group of my friends (around 6 of us) and we all got our cars dyno'd.
I ended up with 243 hp and 194 ft/lb tq Temp: 96 Humidity: 58 Pressure: 33.4 My Dyno Click Here This is my first dyno ever... and I was really suprised at the number. I really thought I would get in the high 220's low 230's... but i am dissapointed in the torque... Dyno was SAE Corrected and I am running 93 Octane... Tell me what you think, my car is stock... and i want to learn a little more about what may have happened here... both good and bad |
is that right? 194 ft/lb tq, seem low.

bump...

i have seen dyno numbers all the over the place... I have lost faith in them. They seem to only be good for before and after a mod so you can see the gains as a percentage, or to compare two cars if they were dyno'ed back to back on the same day. There are too many variables that can screw up a dyno.

I can's see your chart, but if your max hp was around 6200rpm you had to have more than 194lb torque.
|
max hp came at 6414... anyone want to host the jpg. of the dyno chart for me?
|
Stock Dyno.
I have a 2004 Base Model 350z 6MT. All I have installed on the car is a injen cold air intake. My car's Dyno was 255 RWHP and 250 RWTQ at 6489 RPM. Was it a Mustang Dyno or a Dynojet Dyno that you used??

Doing the math, I figure you had 199 torque at 6414 rpm.

i've heard that the torque converter in the 5at isnt all the way locked-up or isn't locked-up at a given point to give an accurate reading and so numbers on the tq can be higher or lower depending on the amount of lock-up inside the tranny. for instance here is my dyno in stock form with my '03 5at. i made a max of 277tq, but obviously thats way off considering drivetrain loss and the fact that it comes with 274tq stock. http://www.iuploads.com/free_image_h...no1resized.jpg
