A simple fix is to go to a linen store, get one thin black napkin. I got a suede/silk napkin. Fold it a couple of times and stuffed it between the guage cluster and the dash. Very simple and cheap fix.
When I bought the car to the dealership to fix the rattle. They ordered some parts and after it was installed, it still rattled, so they told me any more work on it will cost me $90CDN an hour. So I figured the $5 napkin fix was much cheaper.

my instrument cluster only rattled once so far at 15K miles when i was on the way back from downtown Reno Nev. near Virginia Street last month. The road was soooo bad over there. Funny.....I've been unable duplicate the same rattle since.
