03 with 36k Kms (22k miles). I cringe every time i roll over another 1k, haha i hate having a new car sometimes, trying to keep the milage low thinking about resale down the road sometime. My old car has 230k on it and it's great not giving a damn how many more go on there

You guys are right, I have enjoyed the heck out of the car. I just know that in a year or two, I'll want a new car and I'm concerned about getting raped on trade in or sale because of the miles. FYI, I was interested in the new Evo coming out in 2007 or 2008.

IMO, if it'll look like this, it looks less boy racer and more sophisticated than the current generation. I'd also love a turbo for my next car, and the 6 speed auto-manual transmission with paddle shifting sounds enticing (a manual tranny in Southern California is NOT a good idea). I'd love a GT-R as much as the next guy, just don't if I'll be able to afford it or even get my hands on one.

Righto.... a car is for driving, not parking. Who cares how many miles you rack up. If you need to drive it, drive it. Sure you will take a $$ hit when you sell it but thats just the way it is.... Glad to see you are lovin it!

This is exactly my thoughts. My problem is, I am too busy working or doing things to the car. Last time I drove my car was labor day. It's stored winters - gotta love MN weather. I wish I had more of an opportunity to drive it.

44,000 here. I daily drive it, and drive 3-5k a month for my job. The Z has made the driving an absolute blast. Sure, like you I worry about the depreciation and trade in, but this isn't a collectors car. The Z has been so mass produced you might as well enjoy it, and if you want to buy a different example to keep down the road, there will be plenty.
Cars are depreciating assests 99% of the time. You can take steps to avoid huge losses, but overall it's a money wasting proposition.
Admit to that and enjoy the Z. If not go buy a 90 240 or something and stack cash for retirement.
