My poor Z had to tuck it's tail and hide in the garage
because in my driveway were two Supras and an RX-7. Total horsepower between the three cars was around 1900. One Supra had over a 1000hp, the other made around 550hp and the RX-7 had a Corvette motor in place of the Wankel.
My neighbor was having a party and my drive way was the overflow parking. :icon38: But I will say my Z still looked awfully good in comparision. |
who are your neighbors??
|
I hope your neighbors invited YOU to the party, since you were nice enough to let their friends park in your driveway.
RX-7 (assuming '94 or '95 twin turbo) replaced with a Vette engine?? Not a bad idea, since Wankels suck up hella gas and oil...lol |

Timeless indeed. I espically like the updates the JDM RX received in 99. Fit those on a 93-95 RX and you have a nice update to the timeless classic. Too bad the car isn't reliable at all, or it would be even that better. Still it's one of the few sports car to come out in a long time. Simply amazing handling. I think anyone who has driven or owned one would put it on the list of the best handling cars ever produced |

Well I stand corrected....I was going off info I got on another forum from someone who did the swap. No matter, its one option for those that want something different...I personally would like one of those 3 or 4 rotor Banzai motors that put out around 800hp if Im not mistaken...The only problem is that Im 6' 6" and I drive this car with my knees literally, if I can get the door closed :icon17: 350zQ45 I concur :icon44: BTW I had 91 Q45 and loved it...Someone loved it more than me christmas morning about 3 years ago lol..Came out to go to my sister and it was nowhere to be found. What year do you have? I like the newer ones but they went away from the sportiness of the earlier ones...late |

well.
One day, I'm buying a 1969 Camaro or a GTO or Roadrunner something with matching numbers between chassis and motor. I'm going to take the motor out and have it chopped down the middle and welded back together and the cylinder bores lined with nice thick felt. Then I can store wine bottles in the cylinder bores. Then I'm going to put a 3-Rotor 20B in place of the small block. SR20 Shelby GT500? Is that a good idea? The SR is lighter! DUHDUHDUH. 2JZGTE Bel Air? 2JZ MAKE BIG POWER EVAR CA18DET Studebaker? oOoOoOoOo! People put LS1s in Porshce Carreras and 914s but that doesn't mean it's a GOOD idea either. |

I've been reading alot about this LS1 mod lately. Is your buddy's car silver like the one in Sport Compact Car?
I think whoever figured this out is a genius...strong crate motor, cheap, and the solid FD chasis go hand in hand. Imagine slapping a turbo on this and leaving everything behind. And if anyone is worried about the extra weight, just yank out the junk bose stereo system. |
