Dyno'd it today !!!!!!!!!!!

I got my car on the Dyno today. I am not sure what they usually put down so some help would be appreciated. My mods are Full Nismo Exhaust- Pop Charger- Megan Racing Test Pipes. Ive got other mods Volks - Suspension etc, but does nothing for power. I've also got the Carbon Fiber Scoop, but does nothing on the dyno. I put down 260 horsepower and 240 lbs ft of torque at the wheels. I have almost peak torque at 3k rpms. I also have the Megan Headers (not installed yet). I will put them on and get a tune on it next week. Will let you know what I put down then. I have a copy of my runs, but not sure how to post them. Some one let me know, and I will put it up.

excellent! From what I've read, stock Z usually between 230-240 HP but I'm no expert. I was thinking of getting my stock Z dynoed for a baseline before I start my mods. How much they charge for a dyno?

Sounds good..you are putting up great power with your setup. Very intresting... these megan performance parts must be for real!

homiusang Nov 13, 2005 10:53 AM

Sounds like a decent number. What kinda dyno did you use?

You may take a close pic of the dyno sheet and host it.

hypeiv Nov 13, 2005 10:56 AM

great numbers do you have the 300hp or 287hp engine?

screener Nov 13, 2005 11:08 AM

ditto what year is your Z
excellent numbers!

GolfinZ Nov 13, 2005 11:34 AM

when you say full nismo exhaust, do you mean nismo headers too?

You need a server to host the images. StreetNeeds is free and easy to use. I select the ECZA folder.

The Nismo is a cat-back. I have a 2003 enth., I have only got 9,000 on it though. I am happy to hear that. I will be doing another dyno after I install my headers. I just did not get a chance to do them. The dyno was $60 for two runs. The Dyno was a Dynojet. It was really cool.

southern_info Nov 13, 2005 01:40 PM

Good numbers bro. I have my injen super ses exhaust on it's way and megan test pipes. I'm going to dyno soon as well.

Nismo 350z Nov 13, 2005 01:50 PM

Is your car an auto or a stick?

radioflyer350 Nov 13, 2005 06:06 PM

SOUTHERN ITS ME!!!!! Luke.. Nismo its a stick. Oh yeh Ive got the Crank Pulley also - sorry forget it.

radioflyer350 Nov 13, 2005 06:15 PM

Can I email my chart for hosting. I can not get it to upload for some reason.

concuthatbu Nov 13, 2005 06:17 PM

SO with Nismo Exhaust and intake and test, you get 260 whp? Stock Z makes around 230 whp........you are telling me these 3 mods give you 30 whp? LOL.......something wrong with your dyno.....wishful thinking should i say?

EdgeOfSanity Nov 13, 2005 06:56 PM

im guessing this was a dyno that measures hp/tq at the axle and not at the wheels.

NeoRacer_106 Nov 13, 2005 07:15 PM

with all that stuff its barely making spec numbers, so us with non modded Z's are making like 200ibs at the wheel...?!?:(

Armitage Nov 13, 2005 07:30 PM

Too many variables. Where the numbers SAE corrected? What kind of rims? Bigger, heavier rims will affect dyno results.

Alberto Nov 13, 2005 07:35 PM

Like already stated we need to know a few things:

What kind of dyno? Dynojet, Dyna Pack?

And what kind of correction factor did your shop use to get these numbers? None? SAE? STD? Good numbers sounds kinda high to be a dynojet SAE corrected, sounds more like a standard correction or a dynapack.....
