I agree but I dont see a lot of hate in those threads. My point was you had to go back a ways to find them. BUT like I said before I own both cars, so be it. Ill leave the review for myself. Cant we all just get a long.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before because I don't have time to read the entire tread.. But the Z is a legend. It has had history for many many years. The g35 just popped out of nowhere with the Z's engine and was called the new skyline in japan. Surely the G is a more practical car, but for true sportscar/Z enthusiasts, you'll know why we chose what we are driving right now.

I have had many Zs over the years, So when I heard the Z was coming back into production - I had to have one - no question.
But I may trade my wifes Chrysler 300 C for a G35.

I got the Z b/c it was cheaper thus was a better value for me b/c I didn't need the back seat (not ******* the g35c just saying it was a better value for me)
It has worked out well b/c I rarely have to drive to the bar when my friends go out b/c I can only seat 2.

I just feel that the Z is sportier than the G. The G to me seems like a souped up Altima. It's more of a luxury car, while to me, the Z is more like a Vette than a Lexus.

I got the G because I needed the backseat for my son. I just found out recently that you can put in an airbag cutoff switch for the Z. So, if my G keeps eating oil, I'll have to consider getting an '06 Track Z.
They're both nice cars. If we were to race them side by side around a road course, it would come down to the driver. I'm considering a Z because you can still get the Brembos, which are better suited for road racing. To each his own...

Ouch!!! Yo hello? 50 here, and I've been driving sports cars since before you were born. The love of driving a really good sports car doesn't wither with age, my right foot has the same need for speed as yours, and I occasionally geta kick out of using it on some of you yougin's.
I fart in your general direction!!

I had a 2003 Z and sold it. I bought a 05 G35 MT6. The Z felt more squirrelly/sporty and I prefer the exterior of the Z.
The reason I got the G was that the G is almost the same car, but much more comfortable to drive. All the people who knew my Z when riding in the G immediately said that the G was a much better car.
Almost the same price, but more space, better ride, same performance & better service at the same dealer.
The Z is the sort of car that you buy for emotional reasons and have to make up excuses for. The G coupe is also an emotional buy, but there are fewer excuses afterwards.

Reading one of those threads from the g forum, some of those arguments they were bringing up were a stretch, and I mean a real stretch. The G has a lower drag coefficient, according to R&T it has better handling, better interior (delusion), etc., etc. Started getting annoying. Z still has my vote though, even though I don't have one, or a license for that matter. But I think the Z is for people who want an all out sports car where you can "feel" the car and hear the power , whereas the G is for those who think they want a sports car but what they really want is a quick, quieter, number, luxury car because they can't take the rawness of a pure sports car.
